Trouble in T-town

Tullahoma baseball suffered a blow when sr. RHP Patrick Rogers is not with the team anymore. He would probably have been #2 behind Griffin pitching. He was also the returning LF starter who hit 3 HR last year. Sr. starting CF Furhman left team 2 wks ago. They were both good athletes and will be missed but Tullahoma has alot of depth and 2 good coaches who can pull the team together.

Patrick was not dismissed by the coach and he did not quit the team. I removed him from playing for reason that are important. When I spoke to the coach we never mentioned being late to practice and it was never a factor in my action because this is the first I heard of it. Thank you for the complement to Pat in the above e-mail but please don't post false negative statements about kids in the future. You know who I am and I know who you are. You could have just called me and I would have explained this but you seem to want to create a negative forum about a player. My action may help your child in the future with baseball in Tullahoma. That is my wish.

I played with Tullahoma a couple of years ago but that does not matter. I think Tullahoma will miss both players alot but they have good coaches and will be ok. I do not think anybody said anything that was negative about players or coaches.

    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
