Did anyone go there and watch? Does anybody know who won the 400 meter for the boys? Who won the 4x4? Who was a standout at this meet? Someone please inform me.

I would also like to know the results of this track meet.

I heard that Coffee Counties Joseph Slater won the 100 meters. Does anyone know the times?

Uh, lemme see. I think Slater got 11.49; but I'm not positive, but I can confirm that he got 1st. As far as 4x4 goes, T-town got that one, and if I'm not mistaken...T-town's Calvin Brazier won the open 4. Also, LC's Nettie Holcamb (sp?) won the 2mile with a low 11. Some Macon County chic won the 1600 with a 5:45. Guys 3200: T'towns Shelton got like 10:24 and 2nd and 3rd place were both Oakland, each in the 10:40's. Some short black kid from Oak also won the open 8 with something around a 2:04. I'd never seen him before. Nothing blazin though, to be realistic, but I guess if you're from the region, it matters more. It was pretty nice though to see Slater, a kid lucky to be 5'9" overcome the 6'4" likes of Columbia, Riverdale, Oakland, and Tullahoma.

When you say Holcomb ran a "low 11", you mean like 11:50ish, right? I call that a "high 11" Unless she really did run 11:10ish......but then I'm stunned if she's running that fast.

I would guess the Macon County girl would probably be Mary Brown...

We'll be down for the Tullahoma Invite to renew the great annual Kenwood v. Tullahoma battle, we can't wait.

Lincoln County Boys won the 4 x 100 with a time of 45.5 seconds. Nettie Halcomb won the 3200 with apparent ease.
