bizazz
With the rain that may be coming later today, how well does the Bearden field hold up under heavy rain? If it stops raining in the morning will the field be playable for the noon game with West?
dirtydawg15
Bearden has a crew that takes care of the field, and they do a tremendous job. That field has improved ten-fold since the start of the season. That field maintainance crew could work in the big leagues, they are definitely top of the line. SoupKitchen
I agree the field in in great shape. Last year it was sad, but our team played on it last summer for AAU and it was in great shape and they have maintained it all year.
bizazz
I found out later that the Bearden-West game has been moved back to 4:00. Hopefully this will give the rain time to clear out and the grounds crew sufficient time to get the field ready. Looking forward to a good game tomorrow. bizazz
Saw the field Saturday. This is the best I've seen the field look in the 3 yrs. I've been actively following HS baseball. My only criticism is that the grass was a little long. This may have been because of being unable to mow after heavy rains the night before. I also noticed some of the outfielders having trouble with their footing. Minor criticism aside, Bearden's field was in excellent condition compared to previous years.
