Early results from Preconference in Smyrna...

Girls East...Brentwood Academy dominates, and then a bunch of folks way back.

Girls West...Kenwood/Cookeville tie, Siegal close behind. We win on the tie-break (yay Corinna!)

Boys East...Brentwood Academy wins, but NO further results available because somebody fumbled the tags. They are going to use the envelopes to sort it out, I guess.

Boys West...Tullahoma w/ 34!!! Then Siegal, Hendersonville.

 

Didn't see anything in terms of individuals, I was attending to one of my runners who hyperventilated. By the way, Clay Hannah's aunt/uncle or some relation to him attended to my runner in terms of medical attention for over an hour and missed the whole boys race to help me out. They were amazing to be that sacrificial, and they really helped me out. There are still amazing people left in this world.

One surprise from our town...Clarksville High's Rachel Weakley returns as a super sophomore....runs 19:54!@@#$! Is she in awesome early shape or WHAT. She is light years ahead of last year.

No comments on the course. It's not Tomkins Farm; therefore, I don't like it.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
