Warren County Football

Is this the same Swafford that got fired for hitting a player in knoxville this year? I don`t think Warren County would be that stupid to hire a coach that has a history of abuse to players. They need not look any further than the interm head coach now.

It doesn't matter who gets the coaching job, they will never win there. As long as Andy jacobs is the AD, Warren County will never be good. If you could get someone that wanted football to do well, then maybe you would have a chance of being good.

I personally know that WC has a coach on the staff that can bring the kids back out and can teach the boys to play with pride and turn the program around. He was the interim head coach when Tidwell first got into trouble. He is from WC and played football at TTU. I know that this team is down and needs a diffrent kind of atmosphere to rebound. Coach Madewell is the right man for the job. I coached with him and hope that he is considered. I also know coach Swafford and I dont think he has the longevity to bring WC football back. I've coached awhile and I hope that the powers that be will finally give the young man a chance to bring in some respect to the job of coaching at WC.

Who ever the new coach may be, one thing has to been done and that's clean house. Not the coaching staff but the players. Some of the players have no resepct for coach, the game or themsleves. If it means playing with a team of 15-20 players then so be it. There's a dark cloud over this team and much of it has do with some of the players attitude. Play your up-coming freshman and sophomore's and make the junior's and seniors earn a spot not just give it to them because of who they are.

I know this #7 is the real deal and he seems to work very hard to win, #9 does his best and seems to keep trying even when the score is out of hand. These are sophomores! Remember these are teenagers that were dealing with and It's the adults that have to have respect for the game, then the athletes will. Coach Madewell has coached many of these kids that are doing well now and have a good attitude when they were in middle school. All I'm saying is that WC football is in need of some positive role models. Coaches are sometimes the only person that these kids can look to and aspire to be better, and when the players get better and play with a new confidence then WC football can only improve. We spout things like lack of respect and bad attitudes when we give excuses for teams not winning and I agree but you can always follow that back to leadership. Good luck and I hope Mr. Jacobs does hire the right man for the job.........Well I think he already has just not in the right spot!!!!

Don't forget to put his boss in there with him. Boss is probably worse. Warren County needs some good leadership at the top...which they are sorely lacking.

I THINK STARTING AT THE TOP IS A GOOD IDEAL AND WORKING YOUR WAY DOWN. THEY ARE ALOT OF EX COACHES TAKEING ALOT OF OF THE TEACHER POSITION. SO ITS HARD TO HIRE NEW COACHES IN ANY SCHOOL. AND TAKING TO ALOT OF THE KIDS I DON'T THINK COACH MADEWELL IS THE RIGHT MAN FOR THE JOB. I DON'T HAVE THE PERFECT ANSWER BUT WE NEED SOMEONE ALL THE KIDS WILL PLAY HARD FOR AND THEY RESPECT.

I agree that some of the kids need to to kicked off the team in order for the team to improve. I went to the game on friday nite and 3 players that did not impress me were #1, #4 and #11. They got beat more than once and seem to be the cancer that remains on this team.
