BattleBornVolunteer
Who do you think the best freshmen are in the state? My picks go to Travis Creagan(Bradley) and Justin Spain(Bradley).
dragonwrestler
I would say that Josh Bauke is the most dominating freshman in the state.
hulkamaniac
Over all the upcoming contenders in the state I will have to say that the young man from Notre Dame i think his name is something ADAMSON is the best and has the most potential
BattleBornVolunteer
Dragon, Where is Josh Bauke from?
dragonwrestler
Christian Brothers high school, Memphis TN. He is 36-4 (I think). He bumped up at Franklin and lost to Shawn Speroff and Ari Ibrahim. Lost 9-5 to Tinsley. Thats' the only TN wrestler I can find that has beat him @ 112. His only other loss at 112 coming from the Brother Martin 112. Edited January 18, 2004 by dragonwrestler

deaddux
doster ,johnson , and waddell @ baylor are on track to becoming very good wrestlers - doster has several tournament wins ,including mccallie , and his one loss was to puckett whom i believe is a senior - Edited January 18, 2004 by deaddux
garyjkel
after watching him this weekend I would add Courtney Coffey, 215 from Pope John Paul, I think after this weekend he is 27-2, or 26-3. he reminds me of Leavy Davis from Westside a few years ago, a real physical speciman and a smart wrestler. best_of_the_west
Gary, you're right. That kid is a beast. I didn't know he was a freshman. I'd have to back up dragon and take Baucke. He's in a pretty tough weight class for a freshman. Usually 103 is a weight where freshmen can be competitive, but 112 is tougher. The Spain kids, Creagan, Hall and the PJP kid are all very good freshmen, but I think Baucke is one of the most technically advanced freshmen I have ever seen. You know he doesn't win with his brute strength.
wrestlerguy
I would have to say baucke as well. He doesnt look like he would be great but i saw him wrestle at the Franklin tourney and he looked like a beast when he got on the mat. kevin130
I think bauke is a great wrestler but id have to go with kelly felix being one of the best freshmen in this state... i think hes only lost 1 match at 125 losing to kyle james... other then that i dont think hes lost, other then bumping up to 130 to wrestle better people.
