WOW. it is interesting that both the Hunt brothers lost. I thought they would both win.

David wrestled up to 130 and got caught in a head throw...not to take anything away from Brandon, but David was up like 5-0 at the time. Jeff lost to Andy Groves. He didn't wrestle all that well. He couldn't get an escape or reversal to save his life. I imagine they could meet in the finals at region.

big confidence booster for the frosh. he knows now that he can "catch" even a very good wrestler on any given night.

Oh no, daddy wants him to be humble. David has a good sort of mentoring relationship with Brandon, and that shouldn't be spoiled because of this. They know who the better wrestler is, but I knew Brandon learned something from being pinned by Friedman in the first...the head throw!

Even though they are both the top wrestlers at 130 in region 8. I havn't seen much technical wrestling from Wright of Houston and Friedman of Ridgeway. Their past matches were won by head throws and they havn't been wrestling as well as they had at Blackhorse.

I will agree with you there. Wright wrestled a good technical match against McLaughlin of CBHS. I hate when two good wrestlers end up rolling aroung the mat, each clinging to a head-n-arm. Oh well, they should meet again.

Yea, I'm pretty sure we'll get to see Wright and Friedman wrestle in the finals at regions.

But then again maybe they wont meet in the finals. Friedman has been caught in many head throws lately, and spent some time on his back in a near fall.. For example: Some Millinton kid caught him in a head throw at Ridgeway a few weeks ago. Friedman was on his back for the whole second period. But later went on to win.

Naw, just a chuckle and some good-natured ribbing. Tell him to get well soon. Will the two of you be attending CBHS/G'town tommorow night? There's always Collierville and Kingsbury if you don't feel like making a long drive.
