The Lady Indians are just on a down right now, they are having a time trying to find a group that "clicks." Give it a game or 2 and they'll be back to their normal, winning selves.

They beat Oakdale last night and sweeped their bench as did the boys.

I think the biggest problem is the lack of a good post presence. Alisha Abbott is a terrific player but is a little small. Oneida has difficulty scoring on the inside when they go up against bigger players like we have seen in such schools as Wartburg, Harriman, York, etc.

 

But I've seen OHS when they are clicking this year, like in the Harriman Christmas tournament, and I think they have more talent than anyone in the district. Given that and the fact that Marv West is a great coach, I think you'll see Oneida return to them usual ol' selves round about tournament time. Remember this: Oneida hasn't missed a substate appearance since 1990 and only one since 1986. Tradition speaks volumes in any sport, especially women's basketball.
