Farragut - William Blount

I heard there was going to be a scrimmage between the Admirals and Governors today.

 

Any reports out there?

I was interested about the scrimmage too. What was the score, and where do both teams look strong and weak?

I'm surprised we haven't heard from some of the Farragut crowd yet. There are several that post on this board.

 

Maybe they all stopped at Hooters on the way back from Maryville.

game was quite poor from both sides

Farragut won 7-0.

 

Looked like an early season scrimmage... Decent pitching, light on hitting. No home runs, maybe 2 doubles. Hardest hit ball was a long fly by a Blount player that travelled out to "Eldridge-land" for the out.

 

Farragut threw Powell for 3, Steben for 2 and Heyming for 2. I believe they gave up 3 or 4 hits. Don't recall that they gave up any walks. No real scoring threats by Blount.

Sounds like a decent outing for Powell, Steben, and Heyming.

 

Did Farragut score most of its runs via hits? Or did Wm. Blount surrender a lot of baserunners with walks and errors?

Who's catching for William Blount and Farragut? I know both teams lost 2 strong catchers. How did Blount's middle infield look and who's playing?

blounts middle infield looked poor but they still have a player in basketball

The basketball player is probably Young, their shortstop. He's a good one.

Tucker's arm was bothering him last summer.
