Alright guys. Let's post those scrimmage schedules and results here. Bearden and South-Doyle go at it on Wednesday with the Bulldogs traveling to Halls on Friday. The next week Bearden plays Seymour and Powell.

Knox West 6 - Christian Academy of Knoxville 2

Farragut 7 - William Blount 0

Sounds like West is doing a little dominating in the pre-season- Go Hookman!

The Bearden vs. South-Doyle scrimmage did not take place today because of field condidtions. Did anybody else get one in today?

Karns went to Maryville today and won 4-2. I worked so I didn't get to see the scrimmage, but was told that Cale hit the centerfield fence at around 360 ft. and hit the ball well. Defense for Karns was good with 1 error (by Cale).

 

Shane Ownby, Eric Hill and Clint Fox pitched for Karns...I understand all threw well. Eric gave up the two runs. Karns travels to Gibbs tomorrow.

 

Sorry, but I don't know the details from Maryville.

You can't tell a lot from early season scrimmages, but I had heard that Maryville wasn't as loaded as they were last year. Who knows...maybe this will be the year of the Bulldog.

Did Farragut not scrimage Cleveland? I think thats today actually- who know?

I also heard that MAryville was going to have a down year compared to the last few!

I think Farragut - Cleveland is today (Thursday).

 

West is supposed to be at Catholic, but I've heard Catholic closed the doors and all headed over to the state basketball tournament. If so, that's a shame because this looks to be the only playable day (weather-wise) for the next 2-3 days.

 

I wouldn't write Maryville off just yet. They've managed to bring their A-game when it mattered.
