I have always wondered the answer to this question but why did soccerinfo.com only choose to rank the top eleven teams in the state in A/AA and AAA. Seems like kind of a strange number to me. I was just wondering if the rankings went to 15 what teams do you think would be included.

The reason that it is 11 teams is that Berry Redmond (Redmond Cup) started doing rankings by polling coaches some time in the early 90's. He did the top 11. Of course back then there was only one division not seperate classes. Anyway when they started doing it on soccerinfo they honered him by doing the eleven.
