Moore County's Coach Bondurant

Earlier, someone posted some very negative comments about Coach Bondurant. The rest of the parents on the team quickly took offense to the remarks and submitted the following letter to the editor to The Moore County News, which is in this week's paper. Per their request, I'm posting it here.

To the editor:

We would like to thank Coach Kacy Bondurant for all the hard work she has put into the MCHS fast-pitch program. Kacy truly loves the game of fast-pitch and is trying to build the program.

She is a fine Christian lady who conducts herself in a manner that would never bring reproach on her team or the school. She demands hard work, respect and sportsmanship from her players. If you have had the opportunity to see her coach, you know she constantly encourages her players from the sidelines.

Her job is made all the more harder by the fact that our high school team does not have a youth fast-pitch program to pull from as many other schools do, but she does not let this discourage her. She just works that much harder to teach our girls the game.

As our daughters are about to graduate and have played their last high school game, we want to express our thanks and let Coach Bondurant and the MCHS fast-pitch team know that we will continue to support them.

It is seems that it always the same person trying to stir up trouble on here reguarding the MC program and thats a shame. The people that really matter obvisouly know and respect the coach and thats what is all about. Throught that hard work it is only a matter of time before people recognize as a very respectable program that is a threat to beat you every time out.

Amen. Some people at MCHS should realize just how lucky they are to have a coach like her. Keep up the good work! I'm glad that some of the parents let it be known that this negativity was not on behalf of the ENTIRE team and their parents. :D
