Latreia Owens(Freshman) was the first off the bench. She played well.

Rachael Peery played well also.

Quintina Smith,Precious Webster and other underclassman gave quality minutes.

I went yesterday and thought that: Wilson Central, Columbia, Lincoln Co,Crockett Co, Cookeville looked pretty good. Wilson Central And Columbia were the two best teams there. Crockett Co is real good also.

 

I was disappointed in Loretto(only have two that can score, and not real deep), Clarksville NE didn't look as good as they did this summer.

 

I really enjoyed the play day. To bad I can't be at Shelbyville play day. Looks like some great games there also.

wake up! it's preseason for one... Loretto led both games they lost in by 12 at one time before subbing in 2nd string.... remember that statement... "loretto has only 2 that can score"

Columbia has a very strong team with a good starting lineup and some good players coming off the bench

I saw Loretto play Obion and they looked pretty impressive. Didn't get to see them play their other games.

I thought so also but must have burnt up the jets later or maybe the coach was getting some other players some looks. Overall the Lady Lions were impressive as was the Wilson Central team (who was the guy doing all the yelling at the Wilson Central players it wasn't the coach. this guy came out of the stands and got in the huddle with the team during a timeout against Columbia. I'd pushed the ejector button if it were up to me lol.

The girls looked real good this weekend. They jump out on everyone early and made them play catch up the whole game. Janay was really impressive on the block. DeAndrea was also battling on the block and lived at the free-throw line. Alex and Jessica was doing a good job of setting up the offense and creating shots for themselves, as well as others. Nancy had a pretty good day. Here defense was there,as always, and her offense came and went. Latreia and Rachael will be key coming off the bench. Latreia really impressed me by her play. Columbia is going to be a nice force this year.

 

The point for Wilson Central(#32) really impressed me as well. She could get to the basket whenever she need to and created shoots for her teammates. she made the game look so easy.

Campbell is not the AD for Wilson Central High School. I think it is Kay Smith. Campbell is one of the assistant coaches. His son, Bud, is the Head Coach. Wilson Central looked pretty good but was without 2 of there players who, I was told, were out of town. Columbia looked solid and NE has a lot of depth. NE was very athletic and might be the most athletic team I have seen. Columbia has a good inside/outside team and Wilson Central had a solid post game.

Kelly Gassie, #32 for Wilson Central, was very impressive. Has she committed or signed anywhere? She was smooth anbd seemed to always be in control. Yeah who was that wildman on their bench he was going CrAzY

 

Some of the teams seemed to be kinda tight and others were loose and ready to play. I think the Obion Co. was one of the teams that looked tight in their game and couldn't hit a shot. And Loretto couldn't miss.

 

Columbia was also impressive and had some nice post play. It was a GREAT day gor basketball. thumb
