  1. 1. Region 4AA Tournament

I think both Lenior City and South-Doyle will be in 3-4A next year.  I think both will have a rough time for quite a while.

Also, what's that going to do to Maryville's scheduling? Are they going to drop a Blount Co. school, or will they drop MoWest?  Interesting!

whoops i made a mistake region 3 already has 7 teams and with 2 new teams moving in that would make 9 teams so only 2 non region games for each team...but i heard Carter was moving down so if that is so then everyone still has to drop one non region game....this should be interesting.

TSSAA will make sure that the total # of teams doesn't change much...sorry medman...we'll stil be playing MoWest. Something ya'll might wanna think about doing too, if you like playing talented teams.

The Carter/Lenoir city flip flop is a HUGE change, in the talent aspect anyway. I look forward to playing one more good team, instead of having to play Carter, WB and Heritage every year. I'm not sure how they help you prepare for the playoffs haha.

03, did you have a thread started that I missed? Sorry bud. I would have been there for ya if I'd seen it. The wife's need to spend my $$ sometimes gets in my way.

The grapevine has it West is off of Maryville's schedule. Rumors are flying around that West has replaced the Rebels with a nationally recognized out-of-state program. Sort of hate to hear that if this is true. I've enjoyed watching Maryville and West play.

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
