Centennial/Franklin

I just saw the score, franklin by one? can anybody that went to the game post what happened? I know the cougars were supposed to get blown out, im glad they showed heart. That team is YOUNG and will only get better as the season goes on.

yea that is correct. it was a great game, and it was too bad that it had to be decided on a controversial blocking foul. the leads never got too big, the last significant one i remember was frnaklin by 5 with a few min. left. both teams played great defense and never let up. great game all around...as far as the refs go, if it sounds like im complaining-its because i am. i dont do this often but they were horrendous, one in particular. #14 for franklin reached in on our pg the whole night, and centennial got away with travels on numerous occassions. the crew was just bad. the call that sent zandar maze out of the game was not good, and the call one ref made that sent danta brown to the line with 3.5 seconds left was atrocious. i mean honestly, danta very well could have gotten to the rim and scored a fg and won the game that way, but for a ref to take an outcome into his own hands is embarassing. fhs is a great team, and they deserved it b/c they had more points than centennial did when the final horn blew, but those refs were pathetic.

Seems like this game always gets questionable officials. You didn't like 'em... a Franklin player gets T'd up and ejected because of arguing a bad call. Means to me they were bad... and apparently both ways. Hopefully they'll be better next time around.

Perhaps so when I come up for Mardi Gras break... but I think FHS is playing at like Spring Hill. Won't be much of a game, but I'll probably still make it out.

thanks fhsreb...sorry you'll prolly only see the spring hill game. yea there is somethin else about the game- jeff barnes only played about 1 min. before he had to sit down. i heard he had two bad ankles. ryan glover did a great job filling in him for him but i can imagine that would have had a difference in the game. do any franklin fans know how jeff is doing and when he'll be back.
