Did Coach Parker resign from teaching and coaching? I understand that he has left WhitVegas and gone back to his previous home.

The free press article this morning says hes not retired but not coaching? That situation sounds like a tough one on all involved. Parents need to remember ITS JUST A GAME!

also only in whitwell would a crazed fan try to start a fire, i mean it's not like they haven't been winning they won 4-5 district games, but remember some people in WhitVegas take things too importantly

Sounds to me like a bum rap 10w................Hargis title in paper was right on...Whitwell Incident Sickening.......we played them last night and it was a weird feeling in that gym......burning cars.....come on!!

Coach Parker is a class act, a heck of a coach and a first rate person if he has stopped coaching it must be a real mess down there, the parents may have gotten what they wanted but the kids have lost out.

Coach Parker and family are fine. Apparently, someone attempted to burn their truck while it sat in their driveway this past weekend (they weren't even there). Luckily, they were too dumb to accomplish this, managing to just burn off the paint around the gas tank. Arson, by the way, is a felony in Tennessee -- even if you don't particularly succeed.

 

I've seen a lot of ugly coaching/parent situations, but I'll have to say this one takes the cake. I'm not sure what anyone hoped to gain, because it appears that everyone lost.
