  1. Over the past 5 seasons several parents have gone to the School Board, Director of Schools and Principle...... and they just don't care.
  2. I do not think Bratman is trying to stir anything up he just asked how the program is doing, he put his time in at AC and has that right, and people respond. Looking at the past responses it appears that there are others who are turning it into more than it is. Experience proves where there is this much passion things are either very good or very bad, in this case it is not hard to determine which it is. If you don't want to let it go any farther don't respond.
  3. Are they really that bad? knowing the level of talent there I expected them to show some improvement over the course of the season and beat a couple of the teams the second time around. I've noticed they don't turn in any of their stats to prep-Xtra so it is hard to see who is improving.
  4. This should have been the best chance AC had in many years with what could have been the best talent since Harmon, Faust, Melon etc. They were a talented bunch but could have been much better. What happened
  5. Coach Parker is a class act, a heck of a coach and a first rate person if he has stopped coaching it must be a real mess down there, the parents may have gotten what they wanted but the kids have lost out.
  6. I believe that the Heritage Powell game is a no go it is interesting that Heritage has Knox Webb on it's schedule for Feb 14. AC will be there I don't think Coach Ellis is trying to avoid anyone no matter the outcome playing a team like Powell just makes you better and AC can compete if they come ready to play.
  7. Rodd did reel her ankle not sure how bad, I think they play at 3:30 (4:30 our time) at Jackson County again. 1st qtr was not pretty after that they settled down and looked OK I think they got down 20 points or so then played pretty much even in the 2nd and cut it to 8 in the 3rd. They played outstanding defense in the 2nd and 3rd played hard in the 4th but started running low on gas late and Jackson County can shoot free throws no weak spot there. They showed a lot of heart did not give up, don't count them out they should be fine.
  8. A's leg is fine, it's ugly but she should be OK did not see it this morning but I'm sure it'll be blue and sore today. The girls should be fine it's early in a long season and they have loads of talent, they have looked a little flat the last couple of outings, they are a good group of kids they just need to play hard and have fun and good things will happen. Don't count them out just yet.
  9. AC beat a good Wm Blount team today everyone contributed, they are playing solid unselfish team ball. Coach Ellis did a good job of using his bench to keep everyone fresh, with Worthington and Bryant both in foul trouble Lay, Ellis and Justice kept the heat on, Rodd had a great day on the boards she is a soild player who can do it all.
  10. Issues with thte State track meet : 1. Memphis, need I say more, how many kids from the East ran, threw or jumped, and their parents missed it because they would have to miss 2 days of work. Very few of us can do that. 2. Taking the morning to run the field events then doing nothing until 5:00, it makes it very hard on multi-event runners especially kids who run singles and relays. start them back up at 2:00 and take a little more time between races give them a chance to give their best. 3. Making coaches and athletes pay to park unless there are at least 3 athletes in the car, some schools are lucky to get one let alone three. The list goes on.
  11. I think that Anderson Co. has a great chance this year because of 3 people. James Jones, Andy Braden, and athlete of the year Sean Mounts. James Jones a unique high jumper who might reach 7foot or better will without a doubt win state. Andy Braden works hard on and of the field he will also be in the running for the state champion spot. Sean he will try to go in several events and he will place in the top two in the state in the decathalon and the polevault. He is also trying in the 300 hurdles and might get in the top two.

  15. I want to hear what people have to think about Sean Mounts and where you think he has a chance to go. Whether in punting or in kicking or in running the ball or db.
