Dear Coach,

 

I just received this letter from Cumberland County Wrestling Club.

 

Cumberland County Wrestling would like to extend an apology to your program,

athletes, and parents for the delays in the AAU wrestling tournament on

Saturday, February 26.

 

As coaches, we underestimated the impact of the

increased time periods (1:30,1:30,1:30) for the Middle School division and

the large number of wrestlers whose names were not sent in prior to Saturday

morning. Due to these factors, we were not prepared for the volume of

matches that occurred and did not have a fourth mat.

 

If you have been to our tournaments in the past, you know that we typically finish earlier than most other tournaments. Rest assured that such delays will not occur again in any of Cumberland County's Wrestling Tournaments.

 

We run these tournaments to promote the sport of wrestling in our community and yours, not for the money. As a gesture of good will, we will be waiving the $5

wrestler registration fee at the AAU West Regional tournament in Cumberland

County on March 19.

 

We hope you realize from past events that this last

tournament is not typical of our program and see fit to give us another

chance. You will not be disappointed!

 

Please convey this information and our apologies to your wrestlers and

parents. Good luck with the rest of your AAU season.

I have a Grandson in the sixth grade who has taken up wrestling for the first time this year.

 

I'd like to get him some good day camps this summer.

 

Are you doing yours at Seymour ? If so, when ?

 

Do you know of any others ?

Yeah Ron, we will be doing ours here at Seymour. I wil get back to you with some info.

 

We are also starting the Eagle-Hawk Wrestling Academy. Craig Johnson will be the Key instructor. It will include wrestling, weight training, and we will have several guest instructors, including Wade Schalles.
