There was a Qb that played for Farragut in the early to mid 90s named Chad Avans (spelling may be wrong). I heard at the time he was a preseason All-American. I know he had a cannon of an arm in the fun-n-gun system Farragut ran when he was QB.

his name was chris avans, i think he was recruited by LSU, vandy, and mainly alabama, but i don't think he had that great of a senior year which set him back, i don't think he is playing baseball or football anywhere now but not sure

Came across this in a google search, which is funny seeing how google wasn't around the last time someone posted in this thread.  But Chris was recently inducted into the FHS Sports Hall of Fame.  Chris was a great student-athlete and excelled in three sports in high school.  He played baseball in college at Univ. of New Orleans.
