In my opinion, the shot clock rule is a reaction to the “worst case scenarios” out there. I have been at incredible games just to see the end wasted because a team decided to play stall ball. And for the record, I am not calling stall ball forcing the other team to foul. I am talking about the game scenarios where a team with the lead decides the game is over and holds the ball at mid court for minutes at a time.
