Beech- lost to Hillsboro 1st rd..... 2. Henry County- State Champions 3.Knoxville West- State Runner-up 4 Hardin County -lost to Melrose 1st rd. 5. Columbia- did not make playoffs 6.Ridgeway- lost to Henry County in Semi-finals 7.Ooltewah- lost to East Hamilton in 2nd rd. 8.Dyer County- lost to Ridgeway 1st rd. 9. East Hamilton- lost to Cleveland in qtr. finals 10. Morristown West- did not make playoffs Note: Cleveland, Oak Ridge, Tullahoma, Hillsboro and Tennessee High were the mentions outside the top 10 and ALL were playoffs teams with CLEVELAND going all the way to the semis....You be the judge.... That's why defending champs are always number one in his preseason polls. He never felt Beech was best I don't believe. Remember Hurd missing most of the season had a profound effect on them.
