Not many coaches still out there. It's late in the summer and with a lot playing football or going somewhere else it could be tough. There are a few guys in administration that would do well, even one that use to coach at Ooltewah, but not sure if they are interested. I haven't heard much about Ooltewah lately

The new basketball coach at Owl town is Jay Williams.  I can promise you wont find a more honest and nice man to run their program.  Absolutely the best hire that could have been made.

What is his background. I am not from Tenn. Ooltewah played in a tourney I used to run here in Fl after I had left there to go to be a juco asst. I think they may have even won it. About 7-8 years ago.

    • Exactly right OR2. I say it was our sick kicker’s fault! In fairness, the ‘82 f’n hairtage team was good. The ‘83 team played ALOT of sophs.
    • I coach 3 sports in HS and can tell you that basketball is NOT the most time consuming. I'm not saying it doesn't take a lot of time but between basketball, baseball and football it isn't the most time consuming.
    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
