  1. The spelling is Grainger not Granger. Elizabethton should win because, well, they are Elizabethton.
  2. Greeneville has added another transfer that is supposed to be really good. They are the clear favorite in my opinion. Chuckey Doak usually has one also. Claiborne and Grainger return a lot from last year. CD, Claiborne, and Grainger should battle for second.
  3. Gerry What happens if Claiborne beats Grainger. I believe that Chuckey Doak would the be Runner Up in district. Would Grainger still be in? Claiborne?
  4. Wondering what would happen if Claiborne should beat Grainger. There would be a 3 way tie for second in the district with Chuckey Doak, Claiborne, and Grainger all being 3-2 in the district. What would the tie breaker be. Would Grainger still get in with 4 wins if they are not the District runnerup?
  5. Dont be so sure about those being the only 2 sites. Grainger is in the mix and they have the best facility in the region. Best parking, seating, dressing rooms, and restroom facilities. The school is also easily accessible. You may well be traveling to Grainger for the Region next season.
  6. Grainger won at South Greene.
  7. Grainger also has plenty of parking, places for buses to park, and adequate locker rooms.
  8. They have a tiny room inside each lockeroom but thEy do not have separate bathroom facilities in them. Boys and girls should not have to be in the same room. Yes it was packed, that's because it was so small. Grainger also has the nicest gym in the BRAC. It is better than any of the others. It will seat 2500. That's about 1000 more than CD.
  9. Colleges will not host it.
  10. It should be at either Grainger or Hal Henatd when its district 2s turn to host. It should probably be Sullivan North or Unicoi for District 1.
  11. Parking at CD is terrible. No designated place for team buses to park. Boys and Girls teams had to share the same locker rooms. CD did not vacate their locker rooms. They were used only for CD teams. I have never been to a tournament that the home team did not clear out their lockeroom to be used by everyone. when you host tournaments you should be hospitable to everyone. It was all about CD. Special sections for their students but not for anyone else's. CD girls played well in final game. Grainger did not. They did however have a 7 point lead with between 3-4 minutes remaining. They were fouled on consecutive possessions on layups. Twice on one possession. None of these fouls were called. These were not borderline calls. They were blatant missed calls. If they had been called the game is probably over. Credit to CD for converting when they were not called. The officials clearly impacted the outcome of the game. CD then brought out the ladder to cut down nets before trophies were awarded. This is against TSSAA policy. Losing team should not have to watch. Grainger was awarded their plaque while this was taking place, but could not go to their lockeroom because Sullivan East boys team was in there. Poor tournament site and poor hosts.
  12. Thought you were done talking about it several posts ago etown!
  13. Thanks. Grainger High is only 4 years old. We used to be Rutledge and we have had 3 previous teams make the state tournament with 2 of those advancing to the semifinals.
  14. Last year is last year. Those girls from etown graduated. Grainger still has theirs and will return most of them next year. They played last year and Elizabethton won with a very veteran team against a very young team. No way to compare how it would come out if both teams were at the same experience level. Say all you want to say I don't really care, but I do know that EHS is already at the house this season. It is not a debate about EHS and Grainger. Just funny how you have a hard time giving anyone else any credit.
  15. etown, You are the only one on here talking about winning it all. Just getting to the Boro is a great accomplishment. Once you get there then everything else is gravy. They have been ranked as high as 4th. That would indicate that three other teams have a better chance of winning the gold ball. Remind us all of the last time that Elizabethton won the gold ball.
  16. Couldn't have said it better myself gcfball. Etown likes him some upper east tn bball. not much credit given to anyone else though.
  17. You can be a highly ranked team and not win the gold ball. Upperman and Fulton lost last night and they were ranked.
  18. And what makes his opinion so valuable. Has he seen every team in the state? I doubt it. What is his top ten?
  19. My prediction was based from having watched Greeneville vs. Grainger and Grainger vs. Unicoi. I realize matchups make the difference. This is not a good matchup for Greeneville. Thats all I am saying, and again I'm for the BRAC.
  20. You will see. Greeneville has no matchup for Unicoi Counties two 6'5" big guys. I hope I'm wrong. I'm for the BRAC. Just think the matchup isn't good.
  21. Grainger split with Greenevillw this year. Losing by 8 at Greeneville and winning by 2 at home. Unicoi manhandled Grainger like no one has all year. Unicoi wins going away in this one.
  22. Seedlings aren't set yet. Greeneville and Gap play for 2nd place on Tuesday.
