  1. Based on everything I have read, told and seen.PC just won't be able to match up with LC. Depth and talent for LC just outmans PC. Don't see a competitive game. PC will just be outmatched in a lot of position across the board. Agree with some of the other posts I have seen. When LC had these two plus a couple other players that graduated a couple of years ago played a very hard hitting game wth Columbia Central and played them to a tied. They lost a couple of key players from that group, but have players that can play along with the 2 Beast. Pc will see first hand. Just don't see PC having much of chance in this game. LC will have a great season baring any injuries like they have had the past 2 seasons.
  2. I don't believe this will be close. LC has to unreal players back. Those two are game changers. Graham can control a game on both sides. Sparkman large and in charge if his head is in to it. If LC has just an average line.....they should handle Perry easy. Lewis can make a run this year I believe for 2 reasons. 1. the two players that are out this year. 2. The district is way down from where it was two years ago. Lewis by 24.
  3. Agree with a lot of the names. Would like to add a name to the list. Lewis County has a player that missed almost 2 yrs. He played the finale few games last yr. Landon Graham..Defense without a doubt, and if he plays O he could also be a stand out. He is the real deal. He is the definiton of "Stud". On a side note the have another player that could alos make a lot of noise if he decides to play. Justin Sparkman. Haven't heard if is or not...but another stud there. ;The Graham kid is one to watch for sure. His numbers in lifting is unreal and his size is nothing to sneeze at either.
  4. I sure hated to hear that Camden Lost. Really respect Camden and their program. Hated to hear the QB got hurt. Don't know how it would have affected the game but seems like the past 2 years the Qb was lost, once before Milan game and now during game. Sure hate it. Sounds like on heck of a game. Know there always has to be a winner and loser, but was pulling for Camden. Milan has a sound team. They have a big task ahead of them with GP. Have to pull for Milan here. GP has a solid team and MIlan will have to play their best. O better wake up. Good Luck to Milan next week. And great season for Camden, I know they wish they could have kept it going but it doesn't change the great season they have had. No substitue for the experience they have gain and they will only get better and go deeper as time goes on. First Class coaching and fans..not to mention the players. Good luck Camden next year and Milan gave it your all next week.
  5. Great Breakdown Gerry. This year was such an up and down with so many teams it was hard to get a handle on any of them, except Fairview. They seem to be the most consistent week in and week out. The others as was stated before was "jekll and Hyde". One of the stat pack crew (3) thought it would be Page, Fairview and Lewis, with a toss up between Giles and Marshall. Marshall never seemed to be consistent. Lewis underachieved in my opinion. I thought with so many teams down they would have shown better. East.....who knows, so much turmoil going on over there for whatever reason. I just wish they could settle it down at least for the players sake and the potential players walking the halls that could contribute but don't want all the drama. Giles players did gain alot of experience this year. Page.. another big question, really thought this was their year, but talk about up and down.......this is the definition of it. Lewis has alot of work to do with both sides of the line next year. That should determine their success next year. But over all I think your right on your picks. The other member of the stat crew actually gain weight this year with all the crow he had to eat...lol. I don't think he'll predict anything this year. Look forward to next years crop in district 12. Looking for many teams to be consistent . Fairview...and Giles should be (as you say) the front runners.
  6. Well now that all teams from District 12 are done this year, the question is what does everyone think next year will bring. I don't see any improvement on some from this past year such as Springhill, Hickman, E.Hickman. Not sure how young Giles and Page are going to be next year. Marshall was a hard one to figure this year, if they could get anything close to consistent they could be a good team. Lewis another one hard to figure, they do have their entire O backfield returning but they have big holes to fill on both sides of the line. I couldn't even guess the order next year in this district. Anyone care to make a guess on next years finish? I was hoping this district would have one or two teams go further that just the second round. So many one and done and then the end came last night for the other 2. Lets hope there is alot of improvement over this year and 12 can make some noise again.
  7. Fairview made it respectable. I agree Milan is the much better team. Do you think Milan took Fairview alittle light last night. I agree I don't think Fairview made Milan in the panic mode at anytime during the game. Milan looked flat and not very sharp last night. 14 Pent. wow. Fairview was outmatched. That being said Fairview looks to have a good future in store for them. They gained good experience playing Milan, much more than playing in their district did for them. They (through no fault of their own) didn't have much challenge during the regular season district play. Only one team (which they lost)Giles was a deceit team, not great but okay. One of the stat pack thought the score would be worse, that Fairview would lose by 35 I think what he wrote, 18 is still a convincing win. Milan better have their "A" game this coming Friday, Camden looks to have the pieces falling into play at the right time. Best of luck to Milan , although 4 of the 5 stat pack members are pulling for Camden, just because of the class that they showed last year, not just the coaches and team but their supporters. Good luck!
  8. Nice job on putting the video together. But it did open up an old wound. On you post of Lewis, where was the interception on your TD Drive that the Magic whistle happened. Clear interception and the player was going to take it in for a TD and a "magic whistle" called it off, and Wayne got to keep the ball on top of it. Can you post that one? Now for T.Rice. N. Christian better be ready, this kid is good. Doesn't make to many bad decisions. I would have to go for Wayne county in this one. Their running game isn't as strong as last year, but with T.Rice he can more than compensate for the lack. If you concentrate on just the passing game, the running game can sneak up and bite you. Wayne by at least 2/3 here. Good luck WCHS, another step towards your goal. Your whole district is showing how tough a pack you have. Go Wayne!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Pulling for Camden here. Hope they shook the rust off and get their "A" game going. I think this is going to be a good game. West gets to play the revenge card for Motivation. Camden from the first play set the tone. Hope all your players are healthy, I know last year you lost your QB when you played Milan, not sure you would have won, but he would have made a differance in the final score. Class "A" coaches, players and fans. Hope you can take it all the way.....Only the Best of Luck to your the entire community.
  10. Fairviews record is deceiving. They really haven't played any team the level of Milan. Closest would be Giles, and Giles this year is deceit but not equal to Milan. All a person has to do is look at the record of the teams and it pretty much says it all. This district (12) from top to bottom (well bottom is still bottom) is very weak. Alot of these teams win came from within the district because they all being so bad. Will be pulling for Fairview and Giles, but can't see Fairview getting past Milan. The coaching for Milan is among the best and the depth of the team will be to much for Fairview to stay with them. They have an O line and D line complete. That alone will take its toll as time ticks. I wish Fairview could pull it off, but just can't see it happening. Fairview got out to a fast start on Lewis and then struggled, if the do that to Milan it might get ugly. Good luck Fairview.....play hard every down and maybe some good things can happen. Lewis was embarrassed, hope it doesn't repeat itself this coming friday.
  11. Does anyone have any stats on this game? I have been unable to find them anywhere. Curious about total yds. for each team. Appreciate any help on this in advance..Thanks. Be good if there was a place to find the total breakdown on the game.
  12. #45 I was told was his number.....they didn't play him much, but I believe he scored the 2 tds.
  13. Not sure you could call it a surprise. No fault of their own the teams they are playings this year are so weak compared to last year, its hard to get a handle on Fairview this year. I don't believe they are as good as last years team. I was scanning some of the records the past 2 years and it kind of puts a light on why its hard to figure how good Fairview is this year.Last years team play against teams that were 58-49 at the end of the season. The district record was 39-39. This years district record so far is 23-37 with final week coming..so it will be a split on wins on loss beings they all are playing each other. I noticed alot of flags and interception, which last year didn't see as much.Just a quick glance comparing some teams from last year to this year: East Robertson 09..9-3 10..0-9 Creekwood ..9-2 3-6 Harpeth 6-6 2-7 Springhill 8-3 2-6 Giles 14-1 6-2 Page 7-5 5-4 That being said Fairview is this Districts best hope to make a run in the playoffs, then Giles. I never seen a district drop so much in 1 year across the board. Only real improvement has been Marshall. Otherwise they have dropped or stay same. I hope Fairview does well in the playoffs...and Giles can make some noise..this district needs it!
  14. I seen warn status listed on our name......what is it and why is it. Would like to know what it would be attached to. What posting caused it? I looked in my e-mail and no info. listed, would appreciate an explanation so I can be aware. Thanks.
  15. Don't forget who it was against though. Congrads to Giles. No surprise here. But......East did get a great win this year......Hickman, and congrads to them for that one.....it was a long time coming, but maybe a changing of the guard has taken place in Hickman county.....the little brother has grown up..bigger and stronger than the oldest. Giles you have a big one coming up next...marshall, take care of business!
  16. Congrads to Fairview, even with the addtion that Lewis had for the game didn't help, but he did have flashes of his talent. The other member of the Stat crew called last night and said he was going to have his final dish of crow for Breakfast. Not sure after seeing the game that Fairview is a great team or not. But they will have to clean up the stupid pen. if they want to go far in the Playoffs. The turnovers and pen. kept Lewis in the game and hanging around. Fairview needs to get that straighten up quick before playoff time. That #80 is for real. It does look promising for Lewis next year alot of young players gained some valuable experience this year and it will start to show up next year. Fairview is this District best hope for a show in the playoffs. Can't see any others going far.....best you could hope for is a one rd win and done for them. I was told Fairview was also young...is that true? If so this could be a real battle for the next couple of years in this sub district between these two. Good luck Fairview.....clean it up and go deep! Stat.....toast up some bread and put the crow on toast and make it a sandwich.....might go down easier...LOL. (just kdding) When you made your statement early in the year...even last year, I thought you might have had some right..but sure blew up, going to make it for next year or have you had enough crow to last you?
  17. I see you have Cheatham as 8. I have a question......is Lewis county out no matter if the win next week against East Hickman? There seems to be alot of confusion over it. Appreciate any info on the statis.....Thanks
  18. Shocked!! To read about the new player added. Not sure if even he could over come the stupid decision made last by the HC that in my opinion cost them a win. LCHS was out coached last year. Can only hope it doesn't repeat itself. I thought Lewis had a chance to pull out a win before they decided to get more players. I guess they (HC) wanted to increase the odds. This could be a great game! Last years game was down to the wire and I thought this year would be a repeat. Lewis "D" has struggled at times this year and other times looked like it stepped up. "O" up and down. Lewis in a close one. Hope the ego of the coach don't mess this one up. BTW stat 4......crow wasn't to bad served with butter and alittle garlic. I picked Lewis to be in the hunt with a 7-3 or 8-2 (which I really missed, but on the other hand I also said Lewis and Fairview would battle it out in the sub class...and thats what we got). Good luck panthers.......one at a time and a big win here could help this season big time! On a side note.....this kid isn't Ray Lewis.....he's faster.....lol. As a full back.......a beast, as a linebacker.....a hunter.
  19. Been looking for this topic and have been unable to locate it (sorry if I missed it). Was curious on everyones thoughts on this game. Fairview should be favored but its a home game for Lewis so should help Lewis's cause. Fairview is the better team no doubt. Think Lewis can pull this one out?
  20. I'd I have to respectfully disagree with you the "D" this year. Last years "D" across the board was far superior to the product thats there is this year. I remember Giles D last year.....Outstanding, Page, Springhill and Lewis Defense was much stronger. I think this year by the standard of Offense I have seen and read about is far down from last year, which makes the D's this year look better. I couldn't imagine the D I seen this year trying to stop last years teams ie: Giles, Page etc. Only team that I could honestly say is as good as last year is Fairview, not better, but about the same..the rest have fallen off more than I could have imagined. They all have shown flashes of talent and team work, but more often than knock there is just no consistency to any but Fairview. I think in the next few years...some of the young talent on alot of these teams will develop into some very strong teams...but this just isn't the year. If any of these teams that make it to the playoff gets past the first rd (Fairview excluded) I would be surprise, but all of these teams have the potential if they can just put a complete game together.
  21. (4)..Shock! This district has got to be the hardest district to figure.(BTW) #4 stat pack. I got to see the page vs.Fairview......ugly. Fairview got the win, but this was an ugly game for many reasons. Talked to the Other stat pack @Lewis vs. Giles game and he said pretty much an ugly game there.....close to the about the last 5-6 minutes. Did East and Hickman play last night? After seeing last nights game with Fairview...one conclusion.....This entire district is bad. No consistency anywhere.....well except East, Hickman and Lewis.they continue to be bad. From last year to this year, it is hard to believe this is the same district that was so strong. I can't remember seeing a district drop so much from one year to the other. The only one consistent has been Fairview (course with their up coming game in Lewis and the way this season has played out, they could go up there and lose, which would make sense in this district) I thought page was getting it together, but appears not to be the case. Marshall is still lurking out there for a shot. I guess the debate now should be.......Fairview and then who is the worse team in this district..a real toss up! Congrads to Fairview .....big win for their program. Don't fall asleep this week with your travel to Lewis. Its up to you to finish the job you started out this year, Lewis will play you hard...if nothing else for PRIDE. The rest...its almost over. One thing with the up and downs of so many teams...those that get in the playoffs, might be at the up moment and surprise someone. What a change from last year!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. If this District isn't the "DR. JEKYLL and MR.HYDE" of Tenn. HS football! This is one of the craziest years I think anyone could have imagined. Page..beats DL and Giles.....Loses to Eagleville and Lewis.....go figure. Some teams started out strong and faded.......some started out weak and now is coming on. Kids this is an example of why you shouldn't gamble on teams.....LOL. After this week it should settle down...the contenders and the pretenders will surface. Marshall has some tough games coming in their schedule.....which will prove them to be one or the other. Fairview played a good game.....but......not sure if it really shows them better from last year or not, because Giles is no where near the team they were last year...so the score really doesn't say much. It certainly is going to be interesting to see this all play out...Page, Giles and Fairview are pretty well in the playoff...the others???????????
  23. Giles is favor in this game...But with a young team like Lewis if they can catch alittle mo. early they could make a game out of it. Lewis "D" is awful...but every once in awhile it shows signs of the future. In this game they will have to make the future now.....every play. Looking at the schedule remaining it looks like LCHS has one more win and thats pretty much it. They caught Page when the injury bug hit them. The other win...Springhill, well they are what we expected this year, last year was their best shot. Hickman, remains the same.
  24. This is going to be the game that shows who is for real.....Pretender or Contender. Fairview has two tough games in a row.....Giles and Page...after that looks to be 2 wins. Hard game to pick. Have to give edge to Fairview ...just because of home. Not sure which Giles team is going to show up. Giles diffently has played the tougher schedule. Giles could pull this out so fairview better have their "A+" game. Good luck to both. After last years Giles team (which was special) hard to compare these two fairly. I think Giles has the talent (young) but with so many blow outs last year, alot of the players received valuable experience. If I was having to bet $$$ on this game I would just pass.......to close. Good luck to both teams, winner takes a big step towards the District lead.
  25. I'm one of the stat crew......we all thought Marshall would be better than last year. (If you go back and read early last year.....the crew had Page as a favorite..then Marshall, with a question mark on Giles (reloading/rebuilding) followed by Fairview and Lewis battling it out. Lewis won last year at home against Marshall, and in the earlier post you will see the question of can Lewis repeat at Marshall. We leaned towards Lewis with Marshall having a chance. Lewis is worse than we thought they were going to be. Their Defense is horrible. The offense was (injuries this year have about knocked them out in offense) about the same as last year. But that doesn't change how bad the "D" is. Marshall appears to be building something great down there. From what I have heard a very young team. Lewis is about in the same boat now......going to have to build for a couple years and then should handle business. They have a ton of freshman and soph. (a lot are getting playing time now...good experience) This entire district this year is hard to figure......I think winning the Lottery would be easier to pick. Page from what I understand is getting healthy which seems to be at the right time now. Fairview looks to be solid. One of the stat pack crew thought Lewis would go 8-2 or 7-3, we served him his crow saturday. I could see Lewis getting only one more win and that would be East. Marshall has 3 tough game left..Page, Giles and Springhill. Page again looks like the front runner (if no major injuries)with Fairview and Marshall left that could give them again. I read in a earlier post that Page would like a redo...glad they don't have it......Lewis caught them at a perfect time. Don't think Lewis could handle them healthy. Springhill had their shot last year.....so senior heavy. Anyway......this is going to be interesting to watch this district as the the last few weeks go down. Some big games at the end. Marshall if they can get rid of the flags looks to be able to play with anyone. Fairview and Page is the big game coming up. Anyway good luck to all the rest of the year!
