i was merely posting up the PPG average with no meaning to "disrespect" you or anyone else..........our defensive unit doenst allow many points.......first or thrid string it really doesnt matter........now im not sayin that if we put our third string in that they would stop anyones first string so dont get that idea.........im just sayin no one gives the cavs defense any respect as seen in ur post above .....cavs........forth ur kiddin me 8.6ppg(that would be lower if you count the fact that dyer county scored twice on our second and third string once by manassas and once by bolivar)..........but anyways im done writing and arguing about this.......its play off time ......one of my boys are injured and we are totally off topic..........good luck to you dyersburg, covington, and haywood!!!!!

Usually i don't like to bash ppl but i must "school" you.........um yes Covington has a good defense but you take away three tds and what do you have a 14-6 victory still in favor of crockett!!!who is to say that they have the "best" defense in the region (see chart below )as for dyersburg........they were without two star stud offensive liinemen........IF they had those im sure ole caldwell would have had a field day against covington. Im sure dyersburg doesnt give a rats about last year..........different team, different group of seniors, you get the point..........as for haywood they no doubt have the best defensive player in the region and possibly in west tenn...........haywoods defense pounded crocketts offense like no one has this year and thus resulted in a low score of only 13 points(haywood has my respect)..........you should go post this somewhere else my friend can you not read? this post was for information of a key cavalier player's injury status and you have totally disrespected dyersburg, haywood, crockett, and most importantly a young man who has done nothing but deserved respect. Crockett fans do any of you know about Perry's condition?

This is exactly what has bothered me and is my reasoning for starting this thread.........i feel that if we sit our starters we may lose momentum going into the playoffs yet they get a well needed rest........we need our guys to be rested but just as much we need them ready for whoever region 8 is gonna come our way( i dont care what neone has said.....a playoff game is never easy). if we play them .........yes we risk an injury to possibly key player but we keep our momentum rolling and we are yet more battle tested ( haywood has great athletes and can put a beating on you.......this was true in our contest with them last year......although we came away with the win we were beaten and broken and had to limp into the playoffs). I want the 10-0 season and i am sure all of cavnation do as well but i am just afraid of losing a key player right before the playoffs........i know P.A. will make the right choice.......we are number one seed either way.......

Oh i know you may have not done any bashing but i know SOME opposing fans have done nothing but bash crockett. I havent bashed anyone thus far......merely presented facts etc to back up my statements........points per game, allowed points per game, yardage etc. no one has given our defense any rep. everytime we go against someone i hear these ppl on here saying awwww well crockett has met their match this time they will definately taste defeat this time.........so and so's defense is the best they will stop crockett and blah blah blah.....although one may think that all roads lead to cc ........we arent gonna bite into that hype.....we will not overlook an opponent this week nor in the upcoming weeks......i have said this over and over again that i hope to see dyersburg in the playoffs again ...........im almost sure this will be the case in week three of the post season..........but guess what there are two weeks before that one and we have to make it through them first.........good luck dyersburg.........good luck to all!!!!!

Yes most certainly hope all stay injury free. Thank you for giving Massey respect i myself once doubted him but i think he is an excellent player and no doubt the best QB crockett has ever seen. I think he is also one of the better QBs in the region at what he does. There is no doubt that he has proved a lot of ppl wrong this year whenever they said he could take the pressure of the big games. Good luck to you dyersburg hope we meet again. I will not respond to a quote like this........i do not plan to stoop to what i would probably say to you in a reply to your bashery! And just so you know no road in the playoffs is an easy one. everyone has EARNED a right to be in the playoffs all teams will bring their A game.

no no no no Augielio.......i have much respect for you ....you have awesome points and are a very classy individual from what i have seen. I know for a fact that they trojans (as in the team not the fans) sat on the sheffield side supporting sheffield.....making disrespectful comments. i dont know what the fans did........i just know that the team has no respect for us. Last year sheffield made a write up after there first round upset that Dyersburg coaches came into the locker room and asked the sheffield coach how was Mitchell.........basically impling that Dyersburg had their victory set in stone and basically saying that we had no chance of beating mitchell.......i saw the write up thus i know it was not just hear say.........(commercial appeal). No disrespect to the Trojans nor to their fans.........i love football and i wish i was still a part of the sport. i hope to see you guys again this year because i didnt get to go to the first game so maybe there will be a part two.........good luck in the upcoming games.

i just wanna know........did we get on coacht last year and do what dyersburg fans are doing to us this year.........bashing the program repeatedly and giving us no respect......i know last year after they got beat by sheffield they came to our stadium and supported sheffield i mean come on..........i know whenever we get put out of the playoffs i root for my region........this is very unclassy. if we did get on here and talk the stuff they are then i am ashamed!

Cavcav once again you are right.........region 6-3A is in no comparison to Region 7-3A heck bolivar nor lexington could compete with Ripley or Obion (who may not even make the playoffs in region 7). No im not takin ne thing from these programs......lexington has done a great job and coach perry an even better one getting bolivar to the playoffs for the first time since 2001. i mean no disrespect but southside could has no competition.......we have had three teams ranked in the states top ten all year long Crockett......Covington.........Dyersburg.

Yes i figured this would be the case. Pratt never takes a game off.....he will start the starters and try for the big 10-0......hopefully we strike early and often and build a quick lead so we can get the starters outta there. The last thing we need is for a key player to go down. What scares me slightly is the fact that Haywood NEEDS this win. They have been on one heck of a rally and have gotten themselves in a playoff situation. If they win the are insured a playoff steal.....if they lose then they have to rely on someone else to beat another team. Haywood will be fierce this matchup has worried me for weeks because of haywoods situation!

yeah i did notice this and it didnt suprise me. i think that we could even run this 4-4 just as good as our 5-3 because our three down linemen are quick. Don White and Tyrell Spearman have great quickness and speed.We could just as easily move tyrell to an end and have white and bass in the interior and whiteside at the other end. This gives us another linebacker to help support coverage and run support. i figured pratt would pull out something like this to prove to some of the pass happy teams that we can defend the pass while containing the run. Pratt is giving other teams nightmares when it comes to tape to study with the no huddle, passing, running, defensive changes, etc! Thanks cavcav for givin the D a shoutout

Great points but in the Covington @ Ripley game the score was 20-6 and Dyersburg @ Covington was 3-0 not 0-3........but good points none the less
