  1. Good post..however..you've been fed some poor information concerning the band...where did you get that idea? Good post on the memories thing.....don't tell me horn man isn't going to be there!!
  2. Surprise football wins have been around much longer than computers! I say... GO Kelly and the boys!!!
  3. Although HC ends up with the Ws (and that's what counts doesn't it?)...seems like the Pats have had some dismal first half ballgames....not the strong HC teams of past. I look for the Yellow Jackets to be ready Friday. Good luck to Kelly and the boys. (I feel sure the Pats actual team will be ready and not looking beyond the game to the next week like some of the fans ). On any given Friday night, any given team can win.
  4. That's funny about the announcer. Yeah I really can't stand those types of announcers. H-ville really has the worst so far it's like they think only one group of fans are at the game. It is also what I like about our announcer...down distance who made the play anything else is unneeded fluff IMO. I already plan to get there at my regular time which usually is one of the 1st ones there and I always sit as high as possible. Thanks for the pregame info. Thanks also for parking instructions. What are the specialties to ask for at the concession stands. haha no one can even hear ur announcer at the POS you call a stadium gallatin.. i do have to say i was at the game at hendersonville and know that wasnt a typical wave team.. i see yall winning big over this NW team.. hopefully youll get that rematch against hville in the quarter finals.. im glad that trulyblessed guy is so proud of his vikings team.. i wonder if he'll be proud after friday cause that's where the run ends for NW.. gallatin 45 clarksville nw 17 Always a Viking fan through thick and thin from trulyblessed mom I might add!! And absolutely DON'T see the score that overloaded....you must have your rose colored glasses on.
  5. You must be the annoying guy with the horn at all away games... Don't be so sure about Clarksville area football...isn't that the location of your 1 in the L column?
  6. We've asked that the back lot be opened for traffic leaving as well, think they done that for the last couple of games. We still cannot get an answer on why we have 10 cops there standing around after the game and not one up on Lafayette to let traffic out! Hope to have that solved as well....as far as the PA guy, with our sound system...we cannot hear him on home side, maybe that's the plan... . Great concession stand folks that work hard to sell yummy food.
  7. As of right now, you will enter off of Lafayette Rd. (right in front of school) Parking will be in between school and football field, several large lots. Don't park along street behind visitor's stands. Towing zone. But, maybe something else will be done for the playoff game??? As of now, only one main entrance for the tickets right behind home stands. If I hear anything else, I'll post on here later in the week. Looking forward to a big Green and Gold matchup, as both teams sport those colors. Have a safe trip coming in. Go Vikings! Your fans are so proud of ya...
  8. Another post (Sparta Warrior) on another topic (the one about the Titans liking playoff brackets, ha ha), said: "White County and Cumberland County are in their own little "group". Whoever wins their game wins the group. It's born out of geographical necessity."
  9. Yes, a tragic situation such as this make sports secondary. Prayers lifted from a Northwest Viking fan.
  10. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I dont know what team that was a Hendersonville but it wasnt the Gallatin that ive seen the previous 9 weeks. We will rarely be in he smokestack unless its muddy and raining. We will line up in mostly gun and run. We are pretty big up front but as you could have seen friday some off them can be lazy. Stewart Thompson had to step up and play both ways after out center went out and didnt do a bad job at all from what i saw. Our D is pretty good if they come to play. We have a 6'6'' reciever who we dont throw to enough in my mind. We do have a 6'5'' 380 guard who is a soph who keeps getting better. Tandem i dont like beech but i have to be honest I think the field conditions hurt yall more than it hurt us after seeing Beech play at Mt. Juliet. I was really impressed with them. We were lucky to leave with a win. Congrats on winning the district and good luck in the playoffs. Thanks 57. I have to admit I am shocked that we won 9AAA, but I really do think that Gallatin game was a turning point for us even though we lost. We respect Gallatin so much, we knew that if we could play toe to toe with ya'll, we could play with anyone. We will be rooting for you until we meet you in round three. It's sorta like fighting with your brother. You always have your knock down drag outs, but you don't ever want to see someone from outside the family get the best of him. I honestly think ya'll will get it done at NW. Glad to see yall being so cordial to each other. The green and gold matchup should be one of the best in the first rounds.. I'm proud of our Vikings (after dismal seasons under Coach Schrenk the last two seasons). They are playing as a strong, united team. Coach Offutt has brought them together and we see the results. GO VIKINGS!
  11. One aspect of the current playoff system that hasn't changed is the appearance of sub-.500, including 1-9 and 2-8 teams, in the playoffs. The brackets for previous seasons are on the TSSAA website and do include a handful of teams in various years with similar poor records. Just wondering who (of the 1-9, or 2-8 record status) has made it beyond first round (and how far did they go?)?? Do any of you sports knowledge hounds know ? With the time change, it's too early for me to google!
  12. Oh, ok thanks.....was the old system an actual system where teams had winning records of 9-1, 10-0? Just curious, I see many with only 3 wins, 4 wins, etc...
  13. After looking at The Tennessean.com for a bracket breakdown, I thought it was a typo when I saw the 1-9 team in the playoffs . What gives....is it a money thing?? Titans would even like their playoff chances with this pairing....somebody please explain.
  14. Thanks for the rundown on NW, now how about a small snip-it of Gallatin! Northwest is on the upswing this year and only gettin' better. Wiley is awesome, but they've got a great plan of attack with others on the team as well. Should be a great matchup of green and gold (as both are the green and gold!). Prayers and thoughts to the Gallatin team, as they undergo sadness helping their coach deal with his family loss.
  15. Appreciate your support (especially you being NE alum)....should be a great game.
  16. Prayers to the head coach of Gallatin. Northwest will welcome the green wave to town Friday night. Big night for both teams....gonna be a battle of the green and gold. As a supporter of NWHS, we are so proud of our Vikings and the way they adjusted to our new coach. He and his staff have done a great job. The team has done a fantastic job after some disappointing couple of seasons. Looking forward to the battle. GO VIKINGS!!!
  17. I have to agree.....prayers to the Gallatin coach and family.
  18. Nope, at this point it feels pretty darn good that the Vikes are in, how bout' your team? My team got in week 7.. i didnt know yall hadnt made the playoffs before so congrats to ur team and good luck in the playoffs Thank you! First time in our school history that we will host a playoff game....that is HUGE to our Viking team and we are lovin' every minute of it. Wow, what about that double OT victory that Beech had!!!!
  19. Nope, at this point it feels pretty darn good that the Vikes are in, how bout' your team?
  20. These guys are winning because of playing like a team! Tonight's win proved it. Awesome year Vikings. Keep on keeping on.
