  1. Bledsoe is in trouble from a coaching standpoint! But at least he is not coaching the boys. I can't beleive they gave him this job.
  2. Bledsoe should be much improved with their first real "baseball" coach in probably 10 years or more. Pendergrass has worked hard in the Fall along with Campbell, Harvey, Colvard, and Reyes. Brown should be a beast at the plate and G. Pendergrass should have a great season.
  3. Cannon defeated Bledsoe girls and boys handily. We play Dekalb County this Friday at home. Boys lost by 20, Harvey way off his normal game(football), not had the practice time. Brown gave you what you are going to get all year Effort and HUSTLE, scored about 16. Worthington is much better than he showed he is a freshman in his first high school game at home, he will improve. Colvard looked good had 6 or 8 points. Pearson must get control of fouls, too out of control on defense. Pearson's replacement Smith also fouled out but plays very well to be the undersized post player that he is, 3 of his 5 fouls were charges, like pearson must control fouls, after these two post players we are thin at the position. Boring and Campbell coming off the bench gave pretty good minutes, but boring must cut down on the turnovers, Campbell must drive and dish/shoot more.
  4. [ Bledsoe already has the district. If Sequatchie beats Notre Dame, Bledsoe somehow loses to Grundy, each would be 3-1. The big thing now is to finish out strong for a good first round playoff matchup. Let me rephrase for injun. Do the Warriors really want to back into a district championship by losing to Grundy and have Sequatchie fans crying(more than they are now), about how they gave us the game? LEAVE NO DOUBT! Go undefeated in the district and add to the memory!
  5. Well I was incorrect last week about the Warriors, let down game, and happy to be that way. BUT, I am sill not convinced this team will be any different at some point it is coming, and this Grundy game has the potential, they will come in ready to hit us in the mouth early and try to negate our running game. Is this the game we lay down, when one part of the plan is not working? Is this the game that costs this team, these SENIORS, this staff the district title? I am afraid so! Warriors - 19 Grundy - 20
  6. Well I hate to be a "BUZZKILLER" but this is the game Bledsoe historically(last 10 years) overlooks. Examples: Cannon a couple years back, Upperman last year, so on & so forth. The good news is even after the loss tonight, the Blue are still in the drivers seat for the district Championship. Bledsoe loses this one by 22, if I am wrong, which I hope I am, then I guess the new regime has taken more strides than meets the eye, if I am correct, then they still got work to do! 8-2 and a district championship, nothing to hang your head about.1 - 9 to 9 - 1 would be nice but don't see it happening. Geaux Warriors.
  7. How did the spread offense look? I realize we got shutout, but did we go to the spread? Did the defense give up all the points or offense give up some? I hate to ask these questions, but I did not get to go, unfortunately. Details please.
  8. I agree, Polecat. Save me a seat Friday night.
  9. How has the spread wide open offense looked in practice, I know he has not used it in scrimmages to keep it hid, but I'm sure they are hitting it hard in practice. How has it looked?
  10. Great post. I also am not Coach Brown's wife or son, but wholeheartily agree with the dawg. Sparta's program was in shambles when Coach Brown arrived and is much improved now. Be happy Spartaboy and support the new coach, instead of running down th old one.
  11. Look I have been on here dogging out coaches, and will continue to do so if they have proven they can't do their job. But Hubert is the BCHS coach, like it or not, and Hubert like any other coach we might have gotten, must get his CHANCE. Complaning about practice, workouts, or anything else is pointless at this time, especially if you don't know for sure. If this team gets 7 or 8 wins, then many will be saying Hubert's methods are just what the team needed. I am not saying Hubert is a good HEAD COACH or not,(because I like everyone else don't know) but I will not start bashing him until he has a fair shot to prove himself. Now as far as the Assistant stabbing goes: it is even more ignorant to get on here and start a rumor like that, again they haven't played a game yet. It just sounds like you are trying to tear the team apart before they get started. If you are really that worried, for Hubert's sake, about the assistant go tell him in person. If you truly want to see the team returned to the past glory you are always talking about, don't beg for a change then gripe about it when you get it. Boynton could still be the coach, then what would you say? Until this team and coaching staff gets some "real" games under it's belt, lets get off their backs and jump on their bandwagon. Let's all settle down and get excited about the upcoming season. P.S. Polecat I will be beside you sometime I am sure enjoying that valley football you mentioned.
