Meigs does have an awesome team this year. Their defense is a big part of their success, but their offense has really stepped it up. Also fan support is a contributing factor. When Meigs played Howard, they were down 8-7 at the halfwith Meigs tailback only having 15 yds at the half. Third quarter began and Meigs defense shut out Howards fast offense and that made Meigs offense step up. I think the second half Meigs tailback Tyler Mobriant had 156 yards or somethin the second half alone. Imagine the game he would of had doing that both halfs. Anyways congratulations to Meigs. But After playing all the top teams, I say this is how it plays out (1) Meigs-Hosting (2) Notre Dame-Hosting (3) Howard-Traveling (4) Polk-Traveling Good Luck 3-3a Bring it home

Meigs will be traveling up the road to take on a hard nosed Sweetwater team. They pulled it out 24-22 last year, will the score be about the same this year or will it be bigger deficit? and who wins? I'll say Meigs 35 Sweetwater 7

Meigs is now 7-0 and will be travelin to Howard to play for Region championship. Can they go 10-0 and go undefeated? and can the Meigs crowd push them through the playoffs hosting it at home? Meigs is a tough place to win, what you think bout it all?

I cant believe he said there will be no running up middle against Howard. Tell Tyler Mobriant that. He basically does what he wants when he wants with help from his line. Howard may have the speed to catch him, but seriously doubt them stoppin and bringin him down one on one. Meigs has somethin to prove this year and right now they are doing it. Meigs will defeat Howard and win the region. First time in over six years. Last time they did it was when they beat Tyner in 2-A. I havent seen sequoyah play but I heard they can really step it up when they have to. I still think Polk wins this one and finishes fourth in the region Polk 28 Sequoyah 7

Did anyone see the post the Polk guy left in the Meigs-Polk discussion? After we beat Polk he is automatically saying Howard 28 Meigs 14....What a sore loser. I told people not to overlook Meigs. I predicted 14-3 Meigs over Polk so I guess the Tigers proved me more wrong, so Im going to say : MEIGS CO 28 HOWARD 7 MEIGS WILL WIN REGION!!! GO MC TIGERS

I believe Meigs still has the edge. Polk people posted about how it would be a close game with Grundy. But it was nothin of the sort. They have overlooked Meigs and it will bite them hard in Decatur on friday night GO TIGERS still say 14-3 Oh and I heard Maddron will be back for Meigs. Thats a good thing, that boy has good routes and great hands. Howie Meadows also a 6'3 reciever so polk better have height as dbs and safetys. Lennie Phillips very good tight end in the flats. Tyler Roberts very quick Qb and very smart. Tyler Mobriant, very hrd running Tb and hard to take down. Charlie Mobriant, All state MLB, very hard to get by. David Poole, hard nose defensive tackle. Gary Shoot, very very quick OLB. Tyler Moore, very good defensive end. I think if Meigs plays ball, every single one of these guys together like the past six games, MEIGS WILL WIN REGION!!!!

And plus: If for a reason Meigs loses to Polk, and Meigs beats howard. Then Polk still has to get through Notre Dame, which they beat Howard 14-2 That was a good statement you just made about seeing the two teams played. I havent got to see Polk play yet, but dont count out Notre Dame yet. Its going to be interesting, If Meigs beats Polk co then Polk will automatically drop to third or fourth competeing with Notre Dame Then the region will come down to week eight in Howard. Meigs would of beaten Grundy 60 somethin to zero if Meigs wanted to run score up. it ended up bein 35-0 with two touchdowns bein called back with jv playin most of second half. This will be one heck of a game in Decatur friday night. Meigs heads are on their shoulders right so if they keep it that way then Meigs wins 14-3 thats my prediciton. Grundy last year, I think, ran the veer if im not mistakin. thats a pretty hard offense to stop but we did last year. Meigs plays power back yard football. Just the same as polk did last year. We dont run the power I like polk did, but we do have good offensive set. I say Meigs will still beat Grundy pretty bad, but im still givin respect to Grundy because anyone can get beaten sometime or another.This week hear will show how playoffs will fair out a little with Polk playing Howard, but next week will be the main playoff assortment. Lets take it one game at a time. but I do have one question though. Notre Dame was pretty solid with a good passing team, do you think Polk can shut them down like Meigs did. Everytime ND would catch a pass a meigs defender was plowing him causing fumbles and interceptions.......... POLK and MEIGS- POWERHOUSE TEAMS NOTRE DAME and HOWARD- SPEED Which one will take over region? speed or power

The same ones as last year. Meigs didnt lose hardly anyone besides lineman and kicker. Still have the same backfield and mostly same recievers

I have seen posts on here of Comments from Polk people and it makes me sick, how come they wont give Meigs any respect. The only replys on here that game Meigs respect was from Notre Dame guys that have seen Meigs and how they play.

Meigs wins it. I say if Meigs can play together they will go 10-0 this season. I have seen replys from Polk people on here and they think they already have it wrapped up. They still have to get through Notre dame which I dont think they will. Notre Dame may have lost alot of starters last year but they have reloaded and will surprise you. Polk does not need to overlook them like Polk and Meigs dont neither one need to overlook Howard. Polk n Meigs are almost guaranteed the #1 and #2 spot...considering Notre Dame already beat Howard and Meigs beat Notre Dame...this is how it plays out boys, mark my word 1. Meigs 2. Polk 3. Notre Dame 4. Howard 5. East Ridge 6. Grundy 7. Tellico 8. Sequoyah 9. McMinn Central

Meigs is versatile. They have the running game when they need it and they also have the passing game when they need it. Meigs Qb has very qhjucik feet, he is a very quick 4.3-4.4 runner. He is also very accurately passer. Meigs has three guys with great hands they can throw to. Not counting the backs in the backfield. ln special teams, our starting outside linebacker is the main key. Almost every kickoff he makes the main taking the ball call fair catch cause he is always down there before the ball gets there, very fast athlete. They also have pretty decent kicker this year. They have the quarterback and a young freshmen quarterback that recieves the ball deep on kickoff....Freshmen kid is very very quick. People may be surprised when they hear about how good meigs is playing. but when they actually see meigs play, working together as a team, they agree that they will be headed straight towards region championship

Im not downing Polk, Howard, or anyone. Im saying Meigs deserves more respect than what they are getting. They will only be loosin three of their offensive starters next year and mayb two or three on defensive so look for meigs again next year. Howard is a good team, but if we play as a team like we did against Notre Dame, I and most people will agree they could beat any team in this region, IF they can do like they did against the Irish. Ask Notre Dame, they played heck of a game against us, and if you dont think so look at the statistics on times free press. they had over 200 yds offense so dont think Meigs just beat Notre Dame because the irish were havin a bad game. I look for Notre Dame to keep polks hands full. Meigs needs to keep focus on Grundy were people may think it will be close but you will see....Meigs at least wins by 3 tds. Meigs Lb has done caught Georgia Techs eye if he can get grades up. But look at the speed issue with howard, Polk was a slow, but hard nosed team last year, then take Notre Dame last year, ton of speed. When they played for the region championship it was real close so dont think just cause howard has speed they can win games, they may can catch Meigs tailback, Tyler Mobriant, but the question is can they bring him down? We will take it one week at a time and next week people on here can down meigs all they want to, that just gets them fired up. Meigs 42 Grundy 7 GO TIGERS

Are you kidding me? I know you can be beat any given friday but look at the way Meigs beat Notre Dame, then look at how Polk and Howard beat Grundy. I think Polk won 27-0 and Howard beat them like three touchdowns, and you say Meigs is barely goin to win> Im not dissing any team, but I think Grundy and Howard can not compete with Meigs and Polk. Meigs and Polk are almost evenly matched and it will be a heck of a game come next week when these two teams play. I know you play for polk or are a polk fan, but don't look down on Meigs that low. I know polk is good, they are perfect at this point. So is Meigs. I dont want to argue or diss anyones team just give meigs more credit than that. Every game Meigs has played they have won more than two touchdowns.
