Jest for you fellers that may have missed this post made a week ago questioning the SP coaching/teaching issue!

Dad burnit, Old Pirate says it is time some fellers manned up and took the blame for this heep of mess. 1st it is a known fact that in small schools a futeball coach teaches......................no teaching position.......no coaching position available. 2nd it is a fact that school board and school superintendant have to approve any hirings. 3rd it is now a known fact..... coach Ross has some committment issues as well!OP's point is this......there is plenty of blame to go around with all ......parties involved in this train wreck! Folkes will point fingers and claim this and that was the blame when in reality..............all parties (AD,superintendent, school board and coach Rick) were to blame! Now.............................."did anyone learn anything" is the monumential question this old pirate would like answered? Old Pirate had asked questions that were obvious to those that were awake and not in a dream world that no one could or would answer. Has things changed............?, don't recon, jest fellers standing and pointing fingers a saying..."He did it"..................."don't blame me....". This is a sad example for the youngons to see.

Stay on topic fellers, McKenzie and SP ain't got nothing to do with this here thread.......Where is Andy........? these debutants ain't following theys own instructions.................LOPAO.................Old Pirate is a tad ticked cause he posted of current situations regarding the proper & improper handling of the prospective coaching and teaching positions that are way more revelant than this mess about a long ago Pirate win over McKenzie. Point here is some of you law dogs manipulate the rules. Now OP ain't saying theys nothing wrong with chasing rabbits or picking up new trails but it ain't right neither what some hired guns do neither.

Well feller, if there are....positions open, then what are they? The jest of Old Pirate's post was what has become a train wreck. The Jasper coach had a position made for early arrival by that Griffith man. SP has no teaching vacancy and the same treatment in bringing in coach Rick has not been made available. Question 1. Why Not? Question 2. What possable vacancies are suited for the new coach. Question 3. With coach Vic staff dwindling, and rumor is coach Rick wants to bring another coach, where does he fit in as a teacher? Question 4. Does SP folkes believe.....the football program has not ben jeopardized by this HEEP of mess?

Old Pirate says this new coaching mess has become a train wreck! Fellers, in order to be a head coach a feller needs a teaching position to teach. That Griffith man made a position for that McCurry man so he could coach in Jasvegas. But now, that Griffith man ain't got anymore positions to make? That Griffith man is from Jasper, and sounds to OP like them Jasper folkes has deliberately throwed the Pirates under the bus. Fact is, SP ain't got a teaching position, so in reality coach Rick is not a member of the facility. So therefore, a teacher has to quit or that Griffith man will have to fire a teacher in order to officially bring coach Rick on board the Pirate ship! Roy......., just how in tarnation did this happen? Now, this is a HEEP...of mess.

SP might have a team in the championship in the valley but the majority of the valley is annually not good either. The point Old Pirate was making is the general dis-interest in basketball and the reported lack of interest in elementary school. Youngons won't practice fundamentals on their on now-a-days. Drive by courts & they ate bare of youngsters in their formative years.

SP has the facility, but not the interest to follow through with implementing a solid base program. The varsity squads have trouble dribbling and chewing gum at the same time! Old Pirate says not until the elementary school takes basketball serious or until there is a basketball league in SP to teach/build fundamentals. Thank God for little football & baseball. This Old Pirate would like to thank the folks that have wisdom to see the value of league practice & play during the developmental years.

The weight house apparently has gone thru an upgrade. Now if the weight lifting will become a top priority

Old Pirate says if the Pirates are to return to what they were once known for (earholing), they have to learn proper physical tackling! Coach Vic got laxed in putting the youngons thru challenging tackling drills. Except for a couple of players the Pirates were terrible tacklers. Yep, they would hit you...but couldn't/wouldn't wrap up. Time for lots of Bull in the ring, Bloody Nose and Oklahoma drills! But......the physicality starts with lots of sweat and hard work in the weight house.

Dad burnit fellers Professor Phil nor coach Don allowed that foul language and neither diid it either. Old Pirate has heard some youngons playing now-a-days that folkes says talk like sailors. Yep, some been wearing uniforms too.......Hope coach Rick makes an example out of some real quick!

Well, Agent 60, this thread is slow but not shut down yet. Old Pirate ain't heard how many is working out. Folkes say some new weight equipment has been bought.

Fellers, Old Pirate jest got word that the SP coaching staff has dwindled to a few. Dad burnit, what in the tarnation is going on? This is a bunch of turd mess. Is there anyone out there that will confirm any other new coaches or teaching spots that are coming open?

Old Pirate says most fellers agree the Pirates let some titles slip thru their fingers due to lack of discipline. Now OP ain't sure but pert near sure coach Rick ain't here yet and the other coaches has been working the youngons. Least ways the new hire has brought more uncertainty & confusion than some figured.

Old Pirate is bout to haul the backside to the cave but OP keeps hearing about a QB transferring to the Speedway. Ain't sure but folkes is wondering who and where he is coming from. Talk is that QB from SM that transferred is contemplating a transfer again.

Don't recon any of us fellers didn't anticipate a few coaches leaving for other opportunities or because of burnout. Jest what did you hear? Figure it jest might be a new twist.

Old Pirate says coach Rick best find a home near SP & stay away from Jasvegas unless he wants folkes to be constantly yapping about it!

LOPAO......Figured a parent was heavily involved and upset theys little league Allstar didn't start or get a lot of action. Folkes all knows who the best freshman were and pert near sure the transfer wasn't Blevins or Fitzgerald. Recon SP could use all the youngons but time will tell how it pans out. The new coach has left a lot of fellers scratching their heads wondering what to expect. Certainly a lot of uncertainty is in the air......

Got one from SP...? Figure some parent most likely thinks they's got a Bo Jackson when they's only got an Erkel.....

Ah you youngons really makes Old Pirate feels alone. But as for Elvis playing with you fellers tells OP you is a victim of too many skillets! Old Pirate ain't joking neither.....

Jest talked to a couple fellers who says Lankford is leaving! Now OP feels if he does stay he has yet shown he can get into shape. Ain't meaning to be negative but someone else better be ready to step up.

Well, Old Pirate ain't sure about all that against some pretty weak teams. Figure time will tell if he has matured enough to be a complete player. That means doing everything the team needs to give them the best chance to win which includes the best players on the field until the game is in hand, not resting jest to tote the rock. In order for the 2013 team be successful all players have to be accountable and in shape to play a complete game every week. Perhaps coach Rick will address the challenge that lies in front of the Pirates.The bar has been set and time will tell us all come feuding time.

So you is saying if Boyd has some bad years and for what ever reason the coach is let go then he will be paid like that Dooley man @ Tenn?Wow, look for the tuitions to go up, best the parents get signed contracts that the tuition ain't going up neither. Pujo, Now listen here feller, Old Pirate is still ticked @ Roy for not answering the question if he was Bonafide. OP still thinks he's the offspring of them Jasper fellers attempting to perfect stud making. But the feller does show more consistancy than them fellers and at least he appears to have the Pirates best interest at heart. You jest might pick up on some good advice ever now and then from Roy. However Old Pirate thinks the chasing chickens to get faster was great in theory but that futeball training field is way too dad burn close to a heep of chicken lovers to help much, them chickens wouldn't last long atall round the Speedway.
