So you're saying that athletes involved in spring sports should take off the spring sport and participate in spring football? And if the kid gets hurt in the football workouts/game tough luck for the spring sport?

Eastside teams are all pretty even. On any given night a different team will come out on top.

PC looks to easily be the best team in metro! Few too many points allowed though.

Upton was a pretty good QB for them but nothing since.

Seem to recall parents being up in arms when students were rezoned to their poor academically challenged neighborhood school but parents of football players from all over the city want their kids at that same school....

Difference between East and those other schools is East doesn't have anywhere else to practice on campus without turf.... They're at a ms now because of construction. When the stadium is done, where will they practice?

I'm sure the law firm of Fitzgerald and Fitzgerald are already preparing briefs for hardship appeals....

I can't disagree with giving a coach a chance. I can disagree with giving a coach a chance that had zero success at his previous school including a winless second year which, if I'm not mistaken, included the school dropping is MS program. If I recall correctly his time at Ezell was not even mentioned in the press release when he was hired at Antioch. As for clean programs in metro, who has them? I'd be interested to hear some thoughts on this.

Calvin Hall will forever be a state record holder. Only coach to ever go 0-11 in one season. No denying that kind of record!

I guess the next coach will have to win more the three games or lose the job as well....?

Read the article by the Tennesseean. Sounds like the circus will be in town tomorrow. If Woodward does "get his job back" then the principal needs to go! I can't imagine a more toxic work environment than that if she stays!

I read the Antioch article. What a joke! Metro used to have football jobs appointed by the board of educatIon. That way you wouldn't have "principal" come in and arbitrarily make a change without merit. Looks like they should go back to this policy. Then again, this school board is not very impressive either.

Good list. I think Maplewood and east may continue to slide and Stratford will continue to rise if the big man at Stratford hauls in the kids the way he has in the past. I like the numbers. Be interesting to see where they are in a couple of years.

You're right smart guy. If it were by this year's record, then PC would have been down at the bottom! I just went by some DA's determination that the winner of the Antioch vs Overton game on 9/18 would be ranked higher as a program. My mistake....
