  1. Really sorry to hear about the Wagner kid. He did so well out @ Alcoa. Tough situation. He probably needs the team more than they need him. If Blair is performing that well, perhaps he could be the X Factor some have been talking about. I have not seen him play. Can he throw on the run, pocket guy, deep ball? Also where else might Stinson line up on offense? Freeney is just a playmaker, offense or defense. I hope his ship sails straight for a while. He could play on Saturdays if he chooses.
  2. Snap. Let it go. At this time of year, focus on those who have earned the right to continue to play;not, those who who have lost sorely. Don't dignify someone who demonstrates no dignity by responding. Focus on this Friday, and let the other guy focus on Friday's past. They are his bad memories. Do you think Freeney takes snaps this week? How is Stinson's leg/ankle. Is Blair getting more comfortable? Is there any way Wagner makes it back?
  3. There was no charge to park my old Hoopty there for the AE game last week. Maybe they only charge if you have a nice ride.
  4. Snap. Good post. I saw over on the Fulton/Carter thread (Tadvols post) that Fulton was dropped by Carter & Alcoa next year. Who repalces those 2 on the Falcons schedule? Thanx.
  5. Maryville vs. Red Bank or Fulton vs. Cathoilc? What is fan to do? Let's see. Got it. Catholic vs. Fulton for the 3A "Ship" this week, and winner of Red Bank/Maryville vs Mo West for the 4A "Ship" next week. While I could do without the bagpipe lady, it looks like Catholic is the place to be this week. Saw the AE-Catholic game, and I stand corrected. I thought the Ryan kid at West threw a better ball than Troutman. Put Troutman in the right system ie. one of the MAC or Sunbelt programs, and you got yourself another Charlie Batch/Omar Jacobs type. Back to Fulton/Catholic. Just like the first game, the press might make a big deal out of the whole Rogan/Smith thing. They are both great players, and deserve all the recognition they are getting but, once again don't overlook all the other serious talent and great match-ups in this game. Some are: When Fulton has the ball.... Mathis, Freeney, Humphrey, Smith. These guys are one of the reasons Rogan busts a lot of long runs. They are tough, quick, and BLOCK well. Mathis has good hands, and made a terrific catch while being interfered with in game 1. I think Freeney had a couple of nice catches in the Alcoa game. Humphrey has speed. Very good return man. Vic Smith is a player. I need to watch the tape again, but I think he made a long catch in game 1 down the sideline. Defending will be Browder, Riley, Robbins, Smith, and Lindsey. Browder is a big Corner who plays the run well. Riley & Robbins paly the run well, but the pass better @ the other Corner/Safety sometimes. Lindsey, the QB also plays Safety, and just might be the best tackler back there. Sorry Mr. Smith. Gildner, Cobb, Hammilton. These guys are another one of the reasons Rogan does well. Gildner and Cobb can be explosive blocking FBs. Both make good first contact, are very aggressive. I would look for them to get more carries in Round 2. Hammilton is a beast at FB blocking or carrying....tacklers when needed. Defending will be LBs Tressler/Tait/Hartman. Tressler is a very good tackler with surprising lateral speed. Tait is a strong run stuffer, tries to, and does blow up inside run game. Hartman is just excellent on the blitz. These players on both sides are about the same size, speed, (except Hammilton's size). Some of the best "non tackle" collisions I saw all year were in Game 1 in the middle. Wiley-Gatewood (6-6 320), Reilly (6-5 275), Gamble (6-3 250), Brown (6-3 250), Kennedy (6-4 230), Higgins (6-1 280) and toss in Stokes or Mathis @ TE up front. Obviously big, but experienced as well. I think Gamble is the only Jr. I disagree with those that say this group has not played well. Rogan is great, but he would NOT be racking up the kinds of yards he has over the last couple of years without this group. Key battles will be Franklin DT/DE (6-5 260) against the OTs, Wood (6-0 230) NT against the C/Gs, Tait DT (6-3 285) against the OTs, and the ends Giles, and Mubarak against OT/TE/FB. I did not notice at the AE game, but on WMAK replay yesterday, I did see Catholic rotating in 3 or 4 DTs. in 2nd 1/2. Right out of the Catholic Cookie Cutter. Good size, speed, etc. Blair at QB. Freeney @ QB. I heard Coatney last Thurs. on 99.1 saying that Freeney was getting some snaps. Whoever it is just needs to make sure the calls that come in get called in the huddle, get the snap, not try to do too much, and let Rogan, Cobb, Mathis, and Co. do their thing. Freeney was the toughest player on the field @ Alcoa, and he can make plays from any position. Rogan @ RB. 2005, 2006 3A Mr. Football Finalist. All time Fulton Rushing Leader. UT Commit. Offers from Va Tech and Miami. His best asset? Vision. Guys that hit a crease like that have to see it first. When Catholic has the ball........ Kelly, Kennedy WRs. Kelly is cat quick and a good blocker. Kennedy is big (6-3 190) and also a pretty good blocker. Have not really seen them catch the ball other than in pre-game, but both seem pretty sure handed. Tyson, Freeney, Rogan. Freeney makes a difference. He had one of the hardest hitting games I have seen out of a DB in a long tome out at @ Alcoa. Tyson seems to be a sure tackler, and Rogan, like everyone else will be looking for Smith out of the backfield backfiled. Hartman (FB), Phleger and Browder (RB). Hartman blocks ok. He does run well, not extreamly fast, but not slow, and his best asset is balance. Phleger wears 32 and looks like a Smith clone. Fast too. Chased down Anderson from AE on a punt or kickoff last week. Have not really seen him run the ball. Browder is old school, find a hole, put the head down and go. On the other side, LB Winters is Mr. Old School. I enjoy watching that kid play. He is the leader of that D. Tries to make every tackle. Gets off blocks well. Tough. Gildner LB is a strong kid that palys the run very well. He attracts a lot of blockers, takes them on, and allows others to make takles. You need players like him. Stokes has good feet, hits hard, plays angles well. Franklin (6-5 260), Tait (6-3 285), Washington (6-3 260), Station (6-2 250), Irwin @TE (6-4 225). Not as big as Fulton up front. But in that offense you want guys that are quick. They are big enough and quick. On the other side with Gamble, Gatewood, Higgins, Brown, Bates, and Mr. Hammilton you also have size and speed. Cobb and Mathis can really force things back inside, and you don't want to go in there. Mathis is very quick across the line of scrimmage. Cobb closes, and I mean right now. Natour, Center was on the sideline, arm in sling. Back-up played well. Got the ball back, held his ground, pretty quick. Franklin is a good player, very athletic, and deserving of his Mr. Football Finalist selection. However, how those that select could overlook Hammilton is just not right. I know he missed a couple of games, and does not play OL, but he is an outstanding DT/NT. I watched the replay of game 1, and when Hammilton (best DL in the area) and Tait (best Soph. in area) were head up, it made listening to Bassilio tollerable. Barely. Fulton has the advantage because they can put Hammilton anywhere on the D-line, and he will make plays. Lindsey QB. I thought he managed the game against AE, and for that matter Game 1 against Fulton well. He carries out ball fakes well, runs better than I thought he could, and can throw it ok. He now has a few big games under his belt, but none as big as this week. Smith RB. 2006 Mr. Football Finalist. UT commit, I hope. Offers from Auburn, ND, etc. His best asset? His athletic ability. As a Jr., I saw him more than hang with Brandon Warren on the B-Ball court in the playoffs last year when Alcoa took them out. Kicking game. Rogan can kick it. The punter from Catholic is good. Catholic seemed to cover pretty well against AE. The kicker from Catholic hit a couple of Field Goals against AE 25-30 yrds. or so. Both programs have very good coaching. Coatney has had his teams here before and passed with flying colors. Three championship games in the last 5 years or so. Pemberton has built a nice staff (JJ Searles in the KNS), and what looks to be a solid program, but no championships yet. I am pretty sure both staffs know what the other will try to do, and that it will come down to who makes and, executes adjustments during the game. General Patton said "no plan survives 1st resistance." There is a little Veterans Day trivia for ya. Good luck to both programs.
  6. Road2Three. I hear ya. I think I said "it might not be as big of a talent gap as some people think". "Some" of those people might be Hornets. On the other hand the 90-3 thing is a very good point. On the other-other hand talent is not always defined by the scoreboard. UT/Air force or IMHO AE/Brainard earlier this year would be examples. BT Washington out in Memphis has talent out the ears, so does Haywood, but they don't get the W's. Coaching, home field, new gameplans, overlooking or being intimmidated, weather, etc all play into it. Anyway, it is a gap, and to your point, the previous scores are what they are. But.....they are previous, and tonight, who knows....Rutgers beat Louisville. Whooodathunkit???
  7. What a beautiful story this morning in KNS. 4 My Sisiter; she must be so proud of you, your dad, family, and the way the Falcons have carried forward her wishes in this world as she watches from another. We should all thank God for the people of this story because without their character, Fulton High School, the team(s), and those kids on the field tonight, would not have the foundation for the future that they do. Those men lead, coach, punish, praise, and hear all too often the things that they should do differently from those that just don't know the facts. I saw these boys @ Alcoa, and they were good winners. I saw them lose to Catholic and I saw tremendous class after that game as well. I am sure KWalker saw the same. After reading that story, I now know why. We have more than Veterans to be thankful for today. So, "Thank you", good luck, and may your season go where SHE leads it.
  8. Snap. I am sure having Natour out does hurt Catholic. However, I heard their game on the radio against Kingston when he got hurt (I think). The guys announcing went on about how good he was, but also said that the major difference between Catholic this year and last was that they were rotating in many more palyers, especially on the DL. So I think they might have some depth. He is listed at 6-0, 210 which is pretty small @ DL, but probably perfect for Center in that Offense that they run. Most teams that run that have smaller/quicker OL. I have not seen them since he went out so I have no idea about the replacement. On the other hand both their Guards are very big (6-3 285 & 6-3 260) and awfully quick or they would not be able to run the stuff (pulling & trapping) they do. Their LT (Franklin) was just named a Mr. Football Fianalist, so while I am sure they will miss Natour, they do seem to have some other really good Big Uglies. Yeah, that Anderson/Smith match up will be good if they get to go at it one on one. If it stays warm, I might have to get my old bones over to West Knoxville.
  9. No Coach here Mr. Snap. Thanks for the kind words, although don't confuse me being full of wisdom for being full of..... Snap, you are partially right about the speed thing. It can kill, but does not have to. A good scheme will slow folks down. Offensively, teams run screens (slip, bubble, traditional), draws, counters, etc. General misdirection stuff that gets all that speed going one way, while the ball goes the other. Defensively, frequent changes to the front (6 down, 5 down, 4-4 stack), and secondary (cover 2, 3, 5, man), and blitz LBs on 1st and 2nd down running situations WILL slow down an offense. It creates confusion for lineman...who to block, and backs....where is the hole. Pooch punts on 3rd down and forcing fair catches on kickoffs also slow folks down. Having said that, Rogan does have great vision which allows him to find any gap, and Cobb, and Hammilton, if he is playing FB just go and make their own holes. Integrity, well, I can't speak for the integrity of others. Integrity is defined by the things you do or don't do when you believe others are not watching. Discipline. I am sure that with the way folks have been going on about all the cheap shots, the adminstrations of both schools will have been spoken to, the coaches will have been spoken to, the players will have spoken to, booster clubs, etc, etc, etc. The Zebras will talk to the coaches and players before the game, and tell them zero tolerance is in place. If a player is ejected it will not only imapct the Carter/Fulton game, but probably the next one as well.
  10. Might it actually be possible for Carter's Seniors to lead and perhaps will them to a win on Friday? No doubt there is a talent gap between the two teams, but not as great as some believe. IMHO there is a talent gap between Fulton & Catholic, and last year between LA and just about everybody they beat down the stretch. Alcoa may have had more talent than Fulton yet, this year, Fulton won. There could be some keys such as... Carter D-Line. Bozeman played well in game 1. He showed he can compete, now can he step it up? Hancock, a Sr. was a little quiet in Rd. #1. Will he have more impact? He is capable. Lundy is another capable DL. They need to stunt, squeeze, slant, etc. to get a first lick on the carrier. Carter LBs. The Hall kid is a good player, but he makes too many solo tackles. Watson and McDaniel need to key on THEIR reads, not take false steps, think less, and go play aggressively. Carter DBs. T. Clifton and Gorman can play. Fulton will make big plays. Period. Minimize them in the run game by keeping contain, and wrapping up. Mathis and Humphry will try and beat you deep. If they do play the man, not the ball, and live to play another down in the series. Special Teams & Coaching. Take risk. Why not? Change up the Defensive front, turn the Brown kid loose as a Rover. I know he is the feature RB, but roll them dice. Fake a punt, go for it on 4th down, throw a half back pass, on-side kick. Try and get the Falcons to become reactive and cautious. Those Carter Seniors deserve every confidence of Coach Woods at this time of year. Defense, field position and Seniors are what brought Carter to the dance. Of course all of the above is easier said than done. Freeney has come back with a vengence. He had one of the most physically hard hitting performances out of a DB that I have seen in many years out at Alcoa. He might be back to that level. Mathis has as quick of a first step across the line of scrimmage as any DE/OLB around, and Gildner can stuff the run very well. We all know about Hammilton (who did not get a nod as a 3A Mr. Football Finalist-Lineman which is hard to understand) and Rogan (who did get the nod which is easy to understand). The heart of that D might just be the Winters kid. He is a 4 yr. starter (I think) and very, very tough. The only way any team stays with Fulton is by first, playing great D, and minimizing their big plays. Carter has shown this year that they can play D. Fulton's OL has been a little slow in comming together, and if Carter's DL can get off to a good start, who knows? Everybody has a tough time moving the ball on the Falcons, so trickeration, and special teams will be the most effective way to get on the board for Carter. If Carter wins, it will have to be a low scoring game. Having a high scoring shootout with Fulton is the same as playing Russian Roullete. Good luck to both teams. Stay healthy. Play hard, fair, and do the right thing. Whoever wins will need to be at full strength next week to bust heads with either AE or Catholic. What a great time of year.
  11. Thanks IrishBBall. Don't know anything about the girlfriends, but I do know that Waterboy is a great flick, and Snapper is a good eating fish:). Not a scout or sports writer wannabee. Just a non NFL/D1 fan who is old school.....and 1. Enjoys watching coaches lead to help set a moral compass, not get a fat check. 2. Players who play for their friends, parents, pride and, not an endorsment. 3. Parents/communities who take pride in raising their next generation. On the discipline issue, who knows with 15-18 yr. olds, or sometimes what a zebra sees or does not see. From what I recall AE has played disciplined ball with the possible exception of last week @ Seymour where the box score seemed to indicate that they had a number of penalties. I think Catholic plays with discipline on Offense. Very efficient, don't waste time, etc. On Defense, and Special Teams, I have seen them lose gap responsibility, and not stay in their lanes. All in all I think this will be a very well played game, and that AE because of their advantage at some of the skill positions will be able to overcome mistakes more easily.
  12. I have no horse in this race. Just an old Ohio guy that closely follows high school football. Thanks to tivo, 99.1, and good enough health to attend live games, I have seen and heard AE, Fulton, and Catholic play plenty of their games this year. With 2-5A and 2-4A being a bit down this year, they have played the best ball IMHO, and have been the most fun to follow. All 3 of these teams could compete with any school in Ohio of simmilar enrollment. They all have fine talent. Regarding AE vs Catholic. I have read where AE has improved a lot. Maybe, but they were pretty darn good to begin with. They lost early 14-13 to an outstanding Red Bank team that I believe will give Maryville all they want. They lost to Fulton by less than the score indicated (2 dropped td passes I think). Then lost to a Webb team by one point that could very well win state in their division/classification. Also AE beat a Brainard team that probably has more athletes than does AE. Coach Graham is a little inexperienced, but smart, tough, passionate, and a strong leader. AE failed to make some defensive adjustments in the 1st Catholic game, and they won't make that mistake again. I really like the Troutman kid. Throws the best ball in the KIL after the Ryan boy at West. Most impressive thing about Troutman (other than his running ability) is his improved game management. He certainly deserves credit for that, but so does his coach. People talk about Anderson at WR, and rightly so, but the reciever that can cause damage is Hinch. Anderson scores TDs, Hinch eats up some yards. The RB Johnson is patient and tough, and he uses his FB Jones well. The Jones kid can block, and he might just be one of the better "wrap-up" LBs in the region. AE has a bunch of defensive talent. I like the McCaleb kid up front, and Kimbrough at the DE/OLB. In addition to Anderson at DB, they have Thompson, and Smith who are quick and aggressive. I also like Price and Linclon Anderson at LB. On the Catholic side everyone talks about Smith. Again, he desrevs it. However, I think it all starts with their coach. I too wish they were not on the radio every single week, but I tell you what. That guy is not just building players or a team. He is building a program to be dealt with for some time. Pemberton must have a heck of a staff, and obiously the $s if he can do all the other stuff. Even with Smith, I give the overall skill position edge to AE. I think Catholic has good WR/DB types, but at this stage in the year the timing between Troutman and his guys will be better than it was when these two teams first met. I think the AE FB is a better blocker than the Hartman kid, but the Hartman kid might be a better runner. That spot is a wash. I think Catholic's LB are very good against the run, but could get tested by Troutman in coverage. I think that AE's LBs are better against the pass than the run, so the LBs could be a wash also. Up front, I read where Catholic lost their Center to injury, and so I am sure that is a loss. It also seems like they dress half the school so I am sure they have another Center. I like the OT/DE Franklin. He has a D1 frame and ability. I think when Franklin and Kimbrough hook up it will be a battle. The other OL/DT I like is Tait. Only a Soph. I watched him against Fulton and he had 6-7 solos. No doubt Hammilton is the best DL in the region, but this kid might be the best OL. Great drive blocker. I look forward to seeing him and McCaleb battle. Just like Troutman, the Catholic QB Lindsey has improved also. I just think Troutman is a little more battle tested and so I give the edge to him. Bottom line is if AE can stop Catholic from running the ball and the clock, they win. Catholic has to run the ball, and the clock...and stop AE's big plays to win. Edge AE. Good luck to both teams. Stay healthy because whoever wins will have to deal with Rogan, Freeney, Hammilton, etc next Friday, but whos looking ahead?
  13. VeerCoach. It is going to be hard for Fulton to take home that gold ball if you have them picked to get beat by Catholic in the 3rd round?? Then again, that bunch @ AE remind me a lot of LA last year, and could knock the Irish out in the 2nd round.
  14. Crockettfan. I don't expect any team to steam roll to a gold ball. Your hope that us ET guys think that Crockett County CAN'T compete is wishful thinking. Two reasons. 1. With both the region and non region schedules (2-3A) that the are played, not too many teams/games ore over looked. 2. You just kindly reminded everyone how close the Cavaliers came to beating AE in the 2001 Ship. Good luck the rest of the way.
  15. The question is "In class 3A, which region is the toughest?" Perhaps we should define "toughest?" Is it which region has recently produced the most state championships? Is it which region has the best collective talent? Is it which region has the best coaching staffs? Is it which region collectively plays the toughest out of region schedule....and wins? I don't know what the answer is; however, here are some facts and thoughts. State Championships: 2001 Austin East. (2-3A) 2002 Ridgeway def. Fulton. (2-3A) 2003 Fulton. (2-3A) 2004 Fulton. (2-3A) 2005 Livingston. (2-3A) Talent: Rogan (Fulton UT Commit), Anderson (AE UT Commit), Smith (Catholic UT, ND, Aub, etc ). Fulton has, in addition to Rogan 4-6 kids that have the talent to play at the next level. AE has in addition Anderson 2-3. Catholic has 3-4. Kingston has a couple, and Anderson County and Livingston have maybe 1 each. I am not saying that they are all Top 25 D1 talent. Obviously some are. Rest assured the others are Tier 2 or 3 D1 talent (bottom half big east/mac/sun belt). Coaching: There are some new coaches in 2-3A, so TBD on them, but Coatney (Fulton) Graham (AE) and Pemberton (Catholic) can all flat out coach. They don't just have good teams, but good PROGRAMS. Schedule: Teams from the region have gone out and played tough non region games @ Alcoa, Tyner, Red Bank, Smith Co., Webb, Brainard, etc., then beat each other up during the region sched. That is why they are all tough come November, and for the last five years straight have been playing the first weekend in Dec. So, IMHO 2-3A is the toughest followed by 7-3A, 4-3A, and 5-3A.
  16. Big Country. Great post. Thought the breakdown was good. One question. Are you saying that 4-3A is the best or most competitive?
  17. Off topic, but I am interested to know what LA posters know about Station Camp. Saw you played them in game 4 or 5. What are there strengths and weaknesses, if any? Who would you comare them to? Fulton? AE? Kingston, Carter? or maybe a Smith County over your way? etc. Looking @ playoff scenarios. Station Camp could wind up taking on the team that comes out of E. TN in 3A in the semis. Thanks, and good luck to both teams. Stay healthy.
  18. Webb has improved just as much, if not more than AE over the last 4 weeks. Webb has also played a tougher schedule over the last 4 weeks. Many underestimate the speed of Webb. On the other side, Troutman may be playing better than any other QB in the area right now. This is a toss up. Webb by 3. Better kicker and probably a sloppy field will give them an edge.
  19. Now, thats' funny red neckerson. Not altogether true, but funny.
  20. I agree w/Turtle. While many have been talking about Fulton/Catholic, and now Fulton/Carter, the Roadrunners might have quietly improved more than anyone in 1 or 2/3A. Troutman keeps getting better/more comfortable. They lost to Fulton, Catholic, and Red Bank (top3-5 4A team) early. Crushed everbody since. Having said that, AE will have their hands full with Webb and should probably not look too far ahead either??
  21. DiverCity. Appreciate the input. It's a big radar. Certainly did'nt mean to leave anyone off. I can't see em all. With those numbers, he sounds like a strong prospect in the future. I look forward to seeing him play.
  22. Don't follow the whole state but, here are some the best Sophs from the Knox. area. All are varsity starters, and are listed in no particular order. Encarnation. Farragut. LB. Quick to point of attack. Still learning to read/false steps. Starts for a 5A program. Only 5-11, 170 or so. Should grow into a good one. Wilson. Knox Central. RB. Compact/explosive. 5-9 185. Good balance and very strong runner. Not sure about high end speed. Has some skills that you just can't coach. Stinson. Knox Fulton. QB. Throws a great ball. Not accurate yet. Extreamly quick feet and elusive in pocket. Tough kid. Started most of Frosh year. Once this becomes his team, he might dominate. Englehardit. Maryville. OL/DL. Has what it takes to start for perhaps the best team in the state. Last Soph to start there was Douglas @ TE who has verbaled to UT as a Jr. this year. Thompson. Alcoa. DB. 5-10 185. Quick, aggressive, tough and strong. Could follow in the footsteps of Lanxter (West Virginia comit), and Sommer (05 KIL Soph of the year) as a potential D1 player. Ayers. Webb. LB. 6-3 210. Physical and gets to the ball. Program has produced a couple of D1 level LBs over the last 5 yrs. Young and a bit inconsistant, but could be the next one. Rodgers. Anderson County. RB/DB. Played mostly DB as Frosh with Cardin @ RB. Workhorse in 06 @ RB and DB. Much stronger than appears. Won't go down easy. Sure tackler. Plays football as it should be played. Bounds. Carter. QB. Has led team to 8-0 start. Makes good decisions. Throws well. Good scrambler. Has nice numbers for a Soph. Tait. Knox Catholic. OL/DL. 6-3 285. Quick, strong, pulls well, even better drive blocker. Just swallows RBs on D. Started as Frosh, and has opened plenty of lanes for H. Smith. Two others that could pop on the radar would be Fine @ Bearden 5-11 170 db/olb and Williamson @ S. Doyle 6-0 300 DL.
  23. Great kids @ both schools/teams. Not so great kids @ both schools/teams. Don't judge the book by the cover. See Art Schlister (golden boy in and out of jail for the last 20 yrs. and Alan Paige (supreme court justice in MN). Both Pemberton and Coatney are outstanding HS coaches. Period. Both Rogan and Smith are outstanding HS players. Period. Don't overlook all the other serious talent and great match-ups that will be there tonight that some of the media might miss. Mathis-Ful (soft hands, quick, very tough receiver who lines up all over) vs Browder-Cat (also big, hard hitting corner who plays run very well). Wiley-Gatewood-Ful (huge 6-6 320, strong, space eater) vs Franklin-Cat (nice frame 6-5 260, quick feet, good technique). Stokes/Cobb/Winters/Gildner-Ful (Forget the positions LB/FB/TE/DE. 4 tough blocking, run stuffing, aggressive, FOOTBALL PLAYERS) vs. Hartman/Tressler/D Tait-Cat (LB,FB,TE. Same style, size, toughness as the 4 above.) Watch for snot bubbles galore. Smith & Freeney?-Ful (physical, get the ball, blocking WR) vs Riley & Robbins (smart, quick, attacking DBs). Higgins-Ful (another big athletic lineman) vs. Washington-Cat (6-3 260 very ahtletic but not as big as Higgins). Stinson-Ful (Keeps getting better, threat to run, good ball fakes, throws well running) vs. Lindsey-Cat (Learning, throws nice ball, very tough). Tyson-Ful (quick, tough, sure tackling DB) vs Kelly-Cat (quick, tough, sure handed WR). Hammilton-Ful (6-2 300 DT) vs. Z Tait-Cat (6-3 285 OL/DL). These two went at it last year. This is The Hulk vs. The Thing. Regardless of the outcome, social issues, coaches, and hyped players, there are a field FULL of good kids who have worked very hard to get to where they are as individuals and as a team(s). Respect their effort, and enjoy the competition.
  24. Left Tackle. T.J. Franklin. Sr. 6-5. 260 lbs Left Guard. Zak Tait. So. 6-3. 285 lbs Center. Joey Natour. Sr. 6-0. 205 lbs Right Guard. Trey Washington. Sr. 6-3. 260 lbs Right Tackle. Jeff Station. Sr. 6-2. 250 lbs Franklin starter since So @ DE/TE. 06 is 1st yr @ OT. Starts @ DE. Tait starter since Fr @ LG. Starts @ DT. Natour starter since So @ C/LB. Hurt as Jr. Starts @ N/DT. Washington starter since Jr. Rotates @ DT. Station starter this yr. Rotates @ DL.
