  1. Just looking for everyone's input on this one. I think both teams need the win.
  2. I agree with BC, all teams have played some pretty tough competition the first two weeks. In Spring Hill's case they are young on the offensive line and have been struggling with it. I look for them to get back on track soon, though. I still think this is a tougher region than most in 3-A.
  3. Why is it that Mt. Pleasant always seems to be crying about something? Where's the love for your fellow maury county high school? Good luck Spring Hill !!!
  4. Just to clarify a few points, Spring Hill was never down against Creekwood last year. Yes they did lose some big time seniors this year, but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised by the up and comers. Also I heard that hey have changed defenses through spring. This might help them to become more consistent against the region. Thanks for the support BC.
  5. So, basically, last year was a fluke for Spring Hill. Is that the going trend? Where's the love Big Country (7th ????)
  6. Here it is for Spring Hill (It was announced on Thursday at the Banquet) Ned McCaster, Matt Dunn, Allan Fentress, Zack Purtle, Channing Harlan, Jay Brown. (I believe there is one more also). Oh and as far as Marshall filling the list next year... The Raiders have Magwan Smith returning (Athlete of the Year) and I believe the the DL of the year (from Giles) is returning also. I think the region will be just as tough next year and that it's going to be real tough for just one team to run the table.
  7. I heard that Magwan Smith recieved Athlete of the year.
  8. Just so everybody is aware, There has been no vote yet.
  9. oh and by the way. I think Cheatham county's punter was better than Rion. What were the averages for the two?
  10. Just food for thought because I am a bit biased. What about Magwan Smith for either Offensive MVP, Region MVP, or Quarterback. He lead the Raiders in production and as seen in the second round game definitely meant a lot to his team. Oh and I agree with McKnight. He turned the program around this year.
  11. Good Point. Congrats to David Lipscomb the played a really good game. Big Congrats to the Raiders. We're really proud of you for this season. It would have been nice to see how this one played out with #9 and #43 being in the game four 4 qtrs and not just 10 minutes. But Hey these things happen. Any way Congrats to all of the raider faithfull. You guys did the whole community proud!!!
  12. So let me understand if I'm hearing everyone right. Lipscomb will destroy Spring Hill. Ok, got it. Quick question who has the pressure in this game? Spring Hill, who like people stated last week, should just be happy to play in the playoffs or DL who is tops in the state, leads the region, and is selected to come close to the championship if not win it. Teams that play without pressure are dangerous. Spring Hill riding a 4 game winning streak is dangerous. I think people are doubting Spring Hill once again. That's ok players it's not like it hasn't happened before. The school and the community are behind you. Go out and play the best game of your lives and have fun!!! WE BELIEVE
  13. No, I was just wondering if there is any buzz in Marshall about him. We're glad to have him back at SH and would hate to lose him now.
  14. Well after witnessing region 6a in action friday night I would have to say that I'm pretty sure that Giles has seen tough teams. Did you even notice that they played David Lipscomb, oh yeah that's right, they were runners up for the championship last year. Your number two team in the region did real well also, didn't they. Region 5a is a tough region and it's teams are better for that reason. They see tough games almost every week.
  15. Has anybody given anythought to Spring Hill's head coach? Isn't he is from there?
  16. Well, here we go for round number 2. I don't know much about jackson southside but it sounds, by score alone, that the defense had trouble. It can happen against a good Cheatham County team. BC, what happened to Beech, he's been one of your best but he didn't get a touchdown that night? Well, good luck next round to Giles it should be a good game because they have a really stingy defense. oh and BC, since your a big supporter of Region, just wondering if your going to come see the Spring Hill v. David Lipscomb game (one more in the raider crowd would be Great!!!). Most aren't predicting it to be close, but I have a strange feeling about this one. SH's last loss was to DL. Momentum could help a lot in preparing those boys. I think it'll be closer than anyone's predicting. Go Spring Hill
  17. Like Raiders27, I think it would be an upset not a huge one. Spring Hill is playing it's best football right now. Teams that are hot are dangerous because they start believing in the difficult. If Spring Hill plays like it did in the game at lexington it will be a close one. I hope the 12th man that was there Friday shows up this Friday because I think the crowd really fuelled the boys in the 3rd quarter. Get your noise makers and signs ready, here we go for round 2!
  18. So the flipside of that what kind of defense does Lexington run and how well do they run it?
  19. Spring Hill 28- Lexington 14- Speed wins
  20. Spring Hill may be happy to be in he playoffs, but after a hard year without thier head coach, they have learned how to win this year. If you doubt that, ask the Cheatham County team you were happy about, or ask their last 3 opponents as they have been playing for survival the last three weeks. Give credit where credit is due. The game will be good.
  21. So any predictions form Lexington fans?
  22. Well, turnovers did play a part in that game, but BC, the Spring Hill defense played really well in the second half. As for the picks Lipscomb rolls, Giles wins, and sorry BC but I think Jackson SOuth Side wins a shoot out vs Cheatham although Beech should have a good game. As Keyhawn Johnson once wisely said, Just get him the ball!!!. As for Spring Hill, time will tell.
  23. With Spring Hill's first playoff appearence since 1998 who wins this first round matchup and a probable meeting with David lipscomb in round 2?
  24. Ok, B.C. we both got our wish, Cheatham and Sping Hill are in. What happens nw that our records are reset to 0-0 and we face west TN. It sounds, from trash talking about the lexington-southside game that Cheatham faces a pretty high task. I hope they can pull it out because they've looked impressive. What can you tell the Raider faithfull about Lexington. So, far I've got this, great run game, by committee, good defense. Where do you see this matchups going. And Congrats to Lipscomb and Giles. They should continue to chug along and No Respect might have to change his I.D. next year.
