  1. G, no soccer channels anymore?
  2. Okay, pot stirred. Can we change the name of the subject? I heard the same things. At the end of the season HFC knew a couple girls were gonna defect to the Brentwood team so were looking for ways to give them a run for their title. Brentwood has not sat still...heard that Kat Nigro is now on their team. If the HFC players that I am thinking also went to Brentwood, their dynasty is safe.
  3. Just to stir the pot a little...I have heard that the 93 Midsouth FC girls and the 93 HFC girls have merged (minus a few defectors). Something about trying to overthrow the 93 Brentwood Premier dynasty. Could be a logistics nightmare. Also probably some ticked-off players (and parents) left off the "merged" roster. Could that be considered "lobo-by-defaultitis"?
  4. Very true...this was a tentative schedule handed out last week to our girls. I will try to post any changes if they come to me.

  9. Does anyone have a schedule yet for this tournament? I see SC has games scheduled on CoachT in the tournament, but we have been given no official schedule. It is taking place during my birthday weekend, so plans have to be made!
  10. Yeah, I will be scouting for coach Morand in hopes for the second round! Just kidding. I will definitely try to say hello.
  11. I will be there. Most of the SC girls' team will also be there (Coniglio better come disguised /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> !).
  12. Station Camp 4 East Ridge 2
  13. Got it from the coach at our booster club meeting.

  15. More money in most football programs to repair the fields, maybe. Harder to reschedule in football where one game per week is the norm, probably. Or have you seen the t-shirts with the soccer ball being a normal brain and the football being "your brain on drugs"? Most likely! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  16. Is it girls' season yet?! I want to jump in here, but no dog in the hunt. Rankings are just rankings. This is not the BCS. You have to win to advance. Upsetting yourself to the point of needing to go to the bathroom is pretty silly. Especially over rankings that have no bearing on the playoffs. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  17. I think it has been said before, but I think it is worth saying again here. Soccer is a different animal, especially girls soccer. Club soccer can be expensive and a huge time investment. When the girls get to high school age and are serious soccer players, THEY tend to "pick" a school that has a good soccer history or a school that has club players that they have been playing with (or against) for years. As a club soccer parent (and everything else), if my daughter had thought she would've had a more enjoyable high school soccer career at another school, I would not have hesitated to let her go there...public or private. And I know this is the sentiment of most club parents from thousands of conversations. So to me the public-private debate, for girls soccer anyway, is pointless. The girls that play at "lesser" soccer program schools are playing (I hope) because they WANT to play soccer. The better programs, public or private, "attract" the better players. And to tell a kid that has invested so much time and energy (and their parents' money) that they are somehow being unfair to the kids that haven't is ludacris. On another point, it has been said that the A/AA championship has been lessened by the movement of some of the perennial powers to other divisions. I would agree that the other divisions have been made stronger with the addition of these teams, but no championship involving 100 teams can be considered trivial. The teams play at the level TSSAA assigns or allows and I bet not one player on any championship team would trade the experience. Oops, gotta go. My daughter just kicked my soapbox out from under me!
  18. SWWEEEETT! I am coaching my 7 year old daughter, so looks like we will all be together for a while! Guess I better start spending that $24. Is there a multi-year plan? May save a few bucks. I have a 10 year old that plays as well. Her team just won the VIT in Evansville this past weekend (U11 premier bracket). I am gonna grow old on Coacht, aren't I?
  19. Sorry to have been offended by the "all alone" comment. But, in my opinion, the SC season was no surprise. I don't know if anyone remembers, but last year I predicted that SC would go to state. I was just a year off, plus I did not jinx them this year by predicting it again! This team has a lot of talent that I would not be afraid to play against any team. Would they win them all, obviously not, but they would compete and win their fair share. The CAK 4-1 score was deceptive. CAK scored 2 very late in the game when SC pushed a defender up to try to get the equalizer. But....did CAK play a 4-1 game...very much so. SC's defense and especially the keeper kept the ball out of the net despite what was being constantly thrown at them. At least they got a little respect finishing number 5 on Eurosport. Great season SC, looking forward to my daughter's senior season next year! Moving to AAA next year is equally exciting.
  20. Station Camp is losing 2 seniors, 1 starter and 1 that started the last 8 or 9 games of the season.
  21. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> Now that is funny. I did have some inkling that he was a student, but not for sure. So I didn't see the big-haired student. But evidentally some of the girls did--there was some discussion as to whether or not he was "cute". I guess if there was debate, at least some liked it. And on another note, G tell some of your parents to get a haircut!
  22. Okay, believe it or not there were two "Big-haired" men watching the SC v CAK game. So I didn't approach either of them to introduce myself. Wouldn't want to offend the other gentleman. But Coniglio, if you were there, I have narrowed you down to one of two big-haired soccer fans. Maybe next time!
  23. I can't add any more to that. Very good description of the game. My daughter is a defender for SC and she was VERY tired after the game.
