    AAA Contest

1st round--Dobyns Bennett, Greenville, Farragut, Bearden, Cleveland, Soddy Daisy, Riverdale, Siegel, Beech, Hendersonville, Brentwood, Franklin, Bartlett, Arlington, Houston, Collierville. 2nd round--Dobyns Bennett, Bearden, Soddy Daisy, Siegel, Beech, Brentwood, Arlington, Houston. Sectionals--Bearden, Farragut, Riverdale, Siegel, Brentwood, Franklin, Houston, Collierville. Someone double check my entries so that I don't look like MVM in the A/AA contest.
  2. No way man! Those webkinz games are stress relievers! I love the science lab game!
  3. http://www.jacksonsun.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...D=2008810220321 Link to Mcnairy v Madison Academic matchup. They played the district 15 championship Madison wins 3-1. Evidently Mcnairy travels to Mitchell High (district 16 winner--only team) for regional semi. Madsion gets bye into region 8 finals. I think I will pick Madison to win their region semi.
  4. My picks: First Round--University High, Pigeon Forge, Knox Catholic, CAK, Chatt Christian, Notre Dame, Livingston Academy, Station Camp, FRA, Harpeth, Page, Columbia Academy, Jackson Christian, USJ, Madison Academic(bye), Mcnairy Central. Second Round--University High, CAK, Notre Dame, Station Camp, FRA, Page, USJ, Madison Academic. Sectional--Knox Catholic, CAK, Notre Dame, Station Camp, FRA, Page, USJ, Jackson Christian.
  5. Eurosport has Westview beating Dyersburg 2-0.
  6. Dyersburg plays Westview on Saturday for the championship.
  7. Pigeon Forge wins district 2 according to article in Greenville paper. Gatlinburg-Pittman are district 2 runner ups (or is that runners up?).
  8. I think they fought their hearts out for Breanne (Baudinot),??? said UH head coach Victor Chirica, whose team won its first District 1-A/AA girls soccer championship in five years with a 3-1 decision against Chuckey-Doak on Thursday night at Civitan Park. This is from the Johnson City Press. So University High (Johnson City) is District 1 champs and Chucky-Doak runner-ups. Still searching for District 2.
  9. http://www.tssaa.org/2008Champions/StateGS...r/A2ARegion.htm This bracket is filled in with the exception of Dist 1, 2, and 14. District 1 probably Chucky Doak and Elizabethton. District 2 probably Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg-Pittman. District 14 is Westview and Dyersburg on Saturday. There is no district 15,16. Madison Academic will play McNairy Central for Region championship next week (I think).
  10. Beech 5 Hendersonville 3 Exciting second half.
  11. Edited previous post with updated scores
  12. Are your times correct for the games Tuesday night? I just got a message that our game was at 8:00 and just want to verify.
  13. SC 8 MJCA 0 FCS 2 Macon County 0 Play FCS Tuesday at 6 pm at White House. Portland 7 Merrol Hyde 1
  14. No upsets in the quarters as each higher seed plays at home. SC to make finals and win. Toss up with Portland and White House.
  15. I assume so. Gallatin had beaten them 3-2 earlier in the season at Mt Juliet and was the higher seed.
  16. AAA district 9 quarters Hendersonville 3 Wilson Central 0 Mt Juliet 2 Gallatin 1 Beech 2 Lavergne 1 Monday semis at Gallatin Hendersonville 1 Smyrna 0 Mt Juliet 0 Beech 6 Wednesday final at Gallatin 7:00pm Hendersonville v Beech
  17. Did I come in 7th out of 7? Or was I in the top 7? Could make a huge difference in bragging rights!
  18. Since no one has announced the prize yet, I will again pick from the heart. If the prize is bigger this year (??!!), then I will be more cerebral with my picks.
  19. Work in progress, but we are happy with it. Station Camp Soccer
  20. You have a keeper coming in that will definitely keep White House at the top.
  21. You are correct about change of address. If the player and parent(s) move into the new school zone, they are eligible to play immediately. If there is no move, only transfer, then 12 months from the date of last game played for previous school.
  22. Germantown defeats Station Camp 1-0 with goal in the 76th minute to win the Gold bracket of the Ladies Championship Tournament. Shot was from about 30 yds out. Evenly matched game. Very exciting week for Station Camp. Congratulations girls, both SC and Germantown. Thanks to Coach Hodge and McGavock for putting on a great tournament.
  23. Those are all correct. I witnessed all but the U18 and U19 as a field marshal. The U14 game was very exciting.
  24. Supposedly the "coaches" were polled and the consensus was to not have to play four games. I don't think it was a good idea because if a team lost its first match, there was little effort in the second. If the coaches or TSSA think that four games is too many for a weekend (which I tend to agree), then there should be rankings and make it single elimination. You could see in most of the second matches for a team that had previously lost that there was little to play for.
  25. The first thing we need to do is dress up the spectator side. We have ragged old bleachers and rough terrain that washes onto the field in one corner when it rains. And of course we need lights. Anyone have any contact information for "affordable" bleacher and/or lighting contractors or suppliers? OR, does anyone know of a school that has any of this for sale. I found a website a few months ago that had used light poles from a school in East Tennessee, but by the time I called, they were gone. I wish we could build a soccer facility like the one in Bowling Green--but that had to cost a mint! I like Livingston Academy's bench area also, just don't know if we could manage that on the big hill side on the players' side at SC. If anyone has links to pictures of your facilities, I would really like to look at them.
