  1. Well, they said they werent a junior, so unless they were lying, its not stewart, denman starts, and willougby gets enough playtime and i cant see him leaving seeing as coach martin is married to his sister(step maybe dunno for sure) Poteete plays enough also. That leaves: Sophs- Grant James,Ethan Hale, Abram Edwards, and Schuylar Allen. And Fresh-Weston Rhody and Tyler Kent. I have my guesses and im pretty sure theyre right, but ill refrain from saying.
  2. So.....youre saying that DC isnt winning because YOU arent getting to play...wow....that's funny because coach Martin is using his bench more this year than ive ever seen him, so if you arent gettin PT, there's a reason. Btw, DC is also having as good a year as can be expected having so much youth on the team, and losing Bass.(Yes, we have four seniors but im talking about subs, etc.) 6-6 is a pretty good year. Just sounds like someone's a lil bitter that they cant be the star... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  3. All fight discussion aside, York seems to be playing good ball right now, and Upperman is slumping a little bit. Should be a close, physical game w York coming out on top again.
  4. York cant be overlooked. Theyve beaten both Upperman and LA. They could make a run and win it all.
  5. Denman will still probably get his shots. Im not dissing Dunn nor am i bragging for DC, but teams have been all over him all year and he's still getting betwen 3 and 5 three pointers a game.(He hit six of em at White Co. last weekend.) Looks like DC has a chance of having another Cody Randolph...all of us here in Dekalb knew the kid could shoot, but NOONE expected him to step up in the way that he did only as a sophomore.
  6. Looks like just about everybody ate their words on this one. Sounded like YAI had DC figured out...and once again the 3's just werent fallig. Maybe DC can get it together by tuesday or it could get really ugly.
  7. 05-06 season Dec. 16,2005 DC: 67 LIVINGSTON ACADEMY: 72 And the Lady Tigers LEAD by five with three minutes to go...LA got hot from 3pt land...
  8. York also got beat by a struggling cannon team...DC wins by about 10...
  9. Well DC once again lost their district opener to Upperman in disappointing fashion...72-48...the offense just didnt show up tonight and nobody offered to guard the Baxter kid...better luck next time tigers...
  10. LA just has to much this year...im not saying they will go undefeated again in the district...but its highly likely...i say LA by 12
  11. Gives the shooters a little more freedom i think...and what about friendship this year? Did they lose too much after last yr? I know they lost Teeter but who they bringing back?
  12. They beat macon but only just...MC made a big run in the second half and g-ville had to end up icing it with free throws...shame to see them blow a 16 point lead at the half...
  13. Well they were victims of an upset friday aganst Dekalb, they just couldnt seem to throw in anything...very similar to their second half performance tuesday against macon...i say agee has them ready for this one and they'll get their first win over RBS ina few years. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  14. Should be a close game regardless...an z king, with the loss of Bass, DC's youngsters have really stepped up. Even though this year is just getting started, looks like a bright future for DC. And as for gordonsville, ive watched them for quite a few years now(my stepbro goes there) and looks like they have a really young team also...what's the rest of the district look like?
  15. Two weeks ago i would have said uhs by about 10 but after seeing how DC has stepped up in their two wins vs Waren Co. and Gordonsville, and how they showed a lot of toughness last night inm a 7 pt loss to a very talented White Co. team, ill have to go with DC by 6...
  16. Given the addition of Leonard, and a convincing 24 point win over Upperman last night....i say this goes to JC. C-Range may kep it close for a bit..
  17. After watching Dekalb's first three games, ive seen that this year's team is the best three point shooting team Martin has had. None of the shooters have developed into another Cody Randolph yet, but there are at least 4 3 pt threats on the floor at any given time. I look for them to keep improving as the season goes on, i title isnt COMPLETLY out of reach yet.. /happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />
  18. Good win for DC tonight...64-48. Tigers finally showed some offensive consistency and defensive toughness that wasnt seen in their first two games...congrats guys...now for Gordonsville!!
  19. Another test tuesday night in Dekalb. DC lost to Station Camp tonight by 11. I didnt get to see the game but it sounded hard-fought. WC and DC could be a pretty good game.
  20. Well last year's head coach was a senior when they won their last D game....and im pretty sure the losing streak broke 100 last year...either way, these girls are DUE!!!
  21. I'll agree with most predictions for this district...with the exception that Upperman still has many pieces to bring home a district crown...they seem to be awesome every year, and teams can never seem to fully understand the press...classic games between UHS and LA once again this year! And im just gonna go on the record to say that, this year, Dekalb County WILL win a district game. They will play a lot of teams close this year. A new play style will give a lot of teams problems... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  22. This is LA's district this year...but people shouldnt count out Dekalb just because they lost Bass. A lot of talent has come up from the middle school and Coach Martin seems to know how to use it to the fullest. Remember the year Cody Randolph was a junior....DC was supposed to have a rebuilding year and look how they did. The fight for second place could be a lot closer than people think. There will be some rough games between DC and Upperman this year. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  23. I look for DC to pull it off in a nail-biter...they've played every team tough this year(with the exception of Warren Co., IMO, we just seemed out of sorts for some reason) and i think there may be some pent up frustrations that will be unleashed in this game... DC-17 MC-14
