Im picking Wartburg in this game. Wartburg has a lot of size and it will play a factor. Tyler Winsted, Travis Nelson, & Rogers will have a big game. Wartburg wins it in overtime with a nelson shot. Wartburg 84 Humboldt 83

I didn’t say a few years down the road did I Squared. I mean this year. Coalfield will bounce back after this year. But every team has down years. O.S. is loaded, Oakdale is loaded. Its not coalfields year to shine.

Nothing is wrong with Oakdale’s pitching. Jessica Grayson is one of the best pitchers in the Region. I just have the edge to O.S., Coaching I feel like O.S. has a huge advantage in that area.

I don’t see the Lady Jackets being very good at all. They have an experienced pitcher but that’s it. The rest of the team is very young and inexperienced. Coalfield WILL have a losing record this year.

Well, Big Dave. I think your two cents is absolutely right on the money! Wartburg has no staff support in football at all. Even the administration does not "care" about football or sports in general. It may not be fair to say all of them don’t, but the majority does not.

Great game played by both teams. Hard fought game by both, the refs was letting a lot of hard fouls go.

Sunbright Tigers Head Coach, Curtis Newberry has resigned from his position and has taking the job at Clinton high school. There is also a lot of speculation that Oakdale and Wartburg Head Coaches are resigning. Please voice your opinions and updates on these issues.

You need to add Larry Davis from Wartburg. Went to Memphis and started a few years at tackle and tight end. Ryan Hamm, from Wartburg Went to UTC and played inside linebacker.

Maryville is D-3 and D-3 schools do not give athletic scholarships. Maryville is also a lot more expensive than Tennessee. I want to say somewhere in between 25,000 to 30,000 a year. Could be wrong.

I think they both can play at D-2 or NAIA levels; Latham has a different style then all his kin folks. He is more of an outside runner and not a guy big on contact. But I can see him going to C-N. Good luck to both of them.

If I’m not mistaken, Wartburg’s Jay Moore attended and played for MTSU, and started for three years. Wartburg also had a player on the 1951 National Championship team at Tennessee.

Is Shiverdecker going to KY, Or CarsonNewman?

I'm not really for them going to KY. I cant really see Shiverdecker playing all that much in the SEC. But good luck!

I think he would be a perfect fit at C-N and then maybe transfer up after a year or two, witch I doubt he would. C-N is the leader in supplying players in the draft in D-2. They have had more players drafted than a lot of 1-aa schools and some 1-A schools!

I agree totally, Coach Davis lost all emotion for the game. Has there been any new information floating around?
