I'll try this again! First of all just as the last poster said it is 17/18 year old KIDS! They did not disrespect you! What I saw was a GREAT Lipscomb team celebrating a well deserved win, and a GREAT Fulton team disappointed over a loss! There is nothing wrong with either. These players did not point fingers, start a fight, etc, etc. They were very emotional and upset over losing a very big game. I think some of you should think back to when you were 17/18 yrs old and inventory if you did EVERYTHING correctly. You did nothing wrong, you said nothing that could be even remotely be considered disrespectful or out of line. I think that you will agree that you probably weren't perfect. I will tell you this! I really don't care what your opinion is even though I know you are entitled to it. I am VERY proud of this FALCON team! Many of them have a supportive family and then some of them do not have much direction from home. Some of them only have direction from this Family of Coaches and Loyal Supporters! You have no idea what you are talking about even questioning their class. Some of these guys have lived more difficult life experiences than you could even imagine! I don't think anyone showed such negative behavior after this game that deserves someone to rub their nose in it! You can question TCOBB removing his jersey and pads and showing his disappointment but as someone else said this is something he does after every game (win or lose), and I can understand his emotion after this game! I can think of a whole lot worse things he could have done to offend you! Just recently #2 TYSON was injured in a game and many, many players and students filled and overflowed the waiting room at UT hospital. Many of the staff commented separately that they had not witnessed a more well behaved group of kids in their ER! Our coaches not only teach football skills, they teach many many skills needed in everyday life! This includes respect for themselves as well as others. FALCONS, I AM PROUD OF YOU! I will use a line from one of the coaches after the game "THERE IS NO REASON TO HANG YOUR HEAD AFTER LOSING IN MURFREESBORO!' YOU CAME A LONG WAY AND HAVE NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF HERE! Please do not get on here and judge our TEAM until you know everyone on yours is perfect. NO ONE IS PERFECT! I said it once and I will say it again, I think Lipscomb has a great program that obviously begins with their Coaches and filters down to their players! SO DOES FULTON! I'm anticipating re-match of these two teams next year! GO FALCONS!

Okay I have had enough!!! First of all you won't find a better Coaching Staff than at Fulton High School! And before you say it, I am not taking ANYTHING away from DL's coaches I am just saying our Coaches are great! Second, you can think all you want that Fulton has little or no class, but they have plenty of class and plenty of respect! TCOBB was very upset over the loss...you would be too if you had just played as hard as he did only for his team to come up short! For the most part, DL had lots of Class (helping players up and seeking our players out after the game to shake their hand). You cannot judge a whole team by a few people's actions. No, we cannot see EVERYTHING that goes on but neither can you! I had 3 separate experiences with rude DL fans after the game. One especially was a car full of kids who held up their championship bumper sticker in the car windows in one hand and flipped birds with the other!(you know who you are) I happened to notice the license plate # but am I going to display it on here NO! That was about as classless as you can get! They are just kids and they are still learning! I do not judge your program by what a few fans said and did! I did have my children with me during these experiences and I wished that they would not have seen or heard some of the things they did, but I used it as a learning experience for them. I was very impressed by what I saw from all of your coaches and most of your players, and some of your fans! I think you can honestly say the same thing about Fulton's entire program! Please do not get on here and talk out of both sides of your mouth and say that we did not give you all respect IT JUST IS NOT TRUE! Give our guys a break! Don't say that we have already won State and to be satisfied with that! You forget that not everyone on the team this year was a part of the team last year(including some seniors). Even if they were, it was a tough loss! WAY TO GO DAVID LIPSCOMB ON A GREAT WIN! ENJOY YOUR GOLD BALL AND RINGS! I KNOW YOU ARE HAVING THE TIME OF YOUR LIVES AND THIS IS SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER FORGET! FROM A VERY LOYAL FULTON FAN, I AM PROUD OF YOU ALL ! TO MY FALCONS, I KNOW THIS WAS A TOUGH LOSS! That is one thing I'm looking forward to...a good game of nothing but a great game of football without all of the disrespect and trash talk. Last year both teams just let the game speak for itself and shook hand at the end of the game. Now that's what I like to see! Already re-loading the car for another trip this week. Another thing I'm looking forward to is NO FISH SANDWICHES! GO FALCONS!

The FALCONS are definitely going to take the gold ball home AGAIN! Anyone who saw the game against PC will know that. NOW THAT GAME WAS JUST FUN TO WATCH! The FIREBIRDS never expected what hit them. I know they are a decent team but they obviously have not played a team with the same talent as the FALCONS! I think the defense will dominate DL and I know they cannot compete with our speed. I checked with an expert chef and I'm sorry to say that motor fuel, oil, shoe dirt, spit, etc does not cook out of fish no matter how hot you cook it. Well first of all we are not from "fulton county" we are from knox county! We heard all this "we gonna crush u" last year too! We ain't movin out of anyones way. kfl25, Don't go and start making excuses for AEs bad behavior! We don't do all that silly classless ridiculousness. Ya see we don't have to do a bunch of trash talkin, stompin, and disrespect. We only focus on makin the plays in the game! Maybe if you would save your energy and focus for the game instead of trying to show off before the game (which just made you look stupid), you would make it a little longer in playoffs! There are no acceptable excuses for AEs bad behavior! Your actions are why people form opinions about you. Bottom line...You might want to rethink your "pregame show" and actually bring something to the game! I'm finished talkin about this. I think it will be a closer game than it was last year. It sounds as though it will be more evenly matched talent. However, I still think the FALCONS come out on top. I think you have underestimated us. I am anxious to see what Mason brings to the field. From what I hear, he's got great stats. I'm not taking away from him but I trust our defense to keep him under control. I will have to say the atmosphere last year was interesting. I don't expect any less this year! I'm looking forward to a great night of football minus the kicking game on both sides! WE READY! GO FALCONS!

PHOTO, I HAVE GREAT, EXCITING NEWS FOR YOU! Here's the thing, Catholic really thought they would still be playin and their BAGPIPE LADY had booked her calendar accordingly. Well since Catholic lost early...you know the story...she heard about the distraction of PC's band and she wants to help. She is willing to come to the game Friday night. Only one problem, she needs a ride to the game. My car is full of car seats, blankets, etc, etc. I told her you would be happy to give her a ride! I don't know what kind of car you drive, but you might want to consider driving something BIG. She said with that long of a drive she would need to warm up and practice some music along the way. Something about sitting for that long and trying to keep her lungs expanded...I don't know all the techniques you use to play bagpipes. You will probably need to ride with the windows down. It might get a little loud. I have extra hand warmers so your hands don't get cold while you drive. If you think the music might get annoying, I have an old walkman you can use, but the only song it plays is "The Final Countdown." (my cassette tape got stuck when I use to have to practice my cheerleading routine to that song. Anyway, 3+ hours of The Final Countdown or 3+ hrs of Irish bagpipes...you choose. MORE GOOD NEWS! Wal Mart has hired extra Christmas help this year and they are going to let the "Greeters" off early to ref the game. They will get off early enough to add some Polident and clean their glasses and change into their stripe shirts. Also, because Catholics season ended early...PC hired their conditioning trainers for their referees. They have been working on low impact water arobics to help prevent any injuries from flag throwing. I hope they have no neck injuries because Fulton's LARGE WHITE NECK BRACE has been missing from the FHS training room for weeks. We don't know who took it, but we have our suspicions. One more thing PHOTO, Someone told me you have a hidden talent of playing a mean Accordian! (and I thought you could just take pictures!) IF we get to have a parade this year maybe you and the BAGPIPE LADY can play a duet and lead the parade. You will have plenty of time to discuss this and plan the music on the long trip Friday! Let me know about the walkman! You don't have to thank me just consider this an early Christmas present from one loyal FHS FAN to another! GO FALCONS!

asiatic82000, I don't know how you can say PC wants this game more. It doesn't matter how many times we have been to State or how many rings we have on our hand, it is a different year. We have a very young team that I can say not many people believed at the beginning of the season that we would make it this far, but this team has proven themselves to everyone. Trust me the Falcons want this just as bad if not worse than last year. I think there is a lot of factors that determine who wins.. experience,home field advantage, weather, injuries, penalties(fair officiating), turnovers,etc. etc. I know the Falcons will bring their best game as well as RESPECT for who we are playing! The FALCONS want to take this all the way! I don't think it can be determined by who wants it more. Both teams want it bad! Can't say that I am all that excited about a road trip (I don't think that it is fair to have to play there again this year, but nobody asked me)! I think you underestimate the 2007 FALCONS but that is ok. Hoping for a safe trip for all and an injury free game! By the way FIREBIRDS, you can put whatever logo you want on your field and we will respect it! I'm picking the FALCONS to win this one because I'm a BELIEVER!

Either he is storing bagpipes or he is consulting with Jostens to cancel the rush order on Championship rings. He's also trying to come up with a new design. The design they came up with last year is going to be outdated by the time they win a championship. Also, McDonalds is only serving Happy Meals at their banquet this year instead of Extra Value meals. Maybe they will throw in an apple pie if your lucky. I need to go decide if I want a bowl of Lucky Charms or a McDonald's biscuit this morning while I read the sports section! GO FALCONS!

Turtle... Where are you? I'm guessing you're sleeping off a headache this morning. I agree it was a sloppy game...lots of stupid mistakes...poor officiating(but not the worst I've seen). Bubba was a key player as was Cobb, Wilcox, Humphrey, and Blair just to name a few. I'm not a coach either but I've lived with them for too long to know NOT to look ahead. These teams that some are counting out are the ones that can be dangerous. Falcons with a bad game + a "weak" team with a good game can equal DISASTER! We know the Falcons have many areas that need improvement and consistency. Stay focused Falcons. Don't paly not to lose but play each game to win and win big! GO FALCONS! PS I see AE wanted to earn a little extra by charging to park. That is ridiculous but WHATEVER! I guess you can use that money for an upcoming "roadtrip." Welcome to the playoffs! Ruse?, I think the last word is that medically he was released but obviously he is not 100% I'm not sure if he will play due to possibility of further injury but, the final decision wasn't being made until today. I don't think his abitlity to play is the total deciding factor in the game but it definitely makes a huge impact in playing ability as well as leadership. His injury caused the whole game plan to change against Catholic. I know we have worked on adjustments in case we don't have Bubba tonite. I hope the Falcon players are ready...I know the fans are! I have heard talk of threats of gang activity. I hope it is a safe nite for all. Hopefully the only fight is a good clean fight of true football on the field. Also, hoping for a set of decent refs who know how to call a good game. GO FALCONS!!!

Well I'll give you that it's senior nite and home field advantage...WHATEVER! My Falcons are more motivated than ever for a win at your house as well as leaving the seniors with a memory of a loss to rival Falcons on their last nite playing at AE. I think this thread is down due to the fact that Ktown is on spring break and access to computers are limited to school. That doesn't mean the rival is slipping Turtle. The Falcons know better than to overlook any team. However, based on how they have played the past few weeks and how they have continued to improve every week, it should be a tough game for "The Jackets" to overcome. It should be a great night for football---finally with football weather if the forecast can be trusted. GO FALCONS!

bigboy 92 it seems you are having a difficult time following this thread. You wouldn't happen 2 b an AC ref would you? AC refs seem to have the same difficulty following a game! MasterChief, I never said our refs in knox co. are the greatest (we have our share of good and bad) but the AC refs are always terrible when we come to visit. I know Fulton is not the only ones to recognize it. Anyway, I'm not making any excuses. I think we have plenty of adjustments to make from last week but I never doubt my FALCONS. MasterChief, Don't base our season on the first few games. If you will remember, we began another season in the past with 3 losses and still brought home the Gold. We definitely have some room to grow and mistakes to overcome but I don't think this comes as a surprise to anyone considering our young team. However, we still have strong leaders as well as a great coaching staff that know how to adjust. By the way AC, try to find some fair refs if any exist in your neck of the woods. GO FALCONS!

My prayers go out to The Weaver Family and the Halls community. God Bless this family. Fulton Falcon Fans will keep you all in our prayers!

K Walker is the daughter of Coach Bob Black and the sister of Coach Rob Black. She passed away of lung cancer (non-smoker) at the age of 34. She left behind 4 young children. She was one of the BIGGEST FANS of Fulton Football. The players all knew her and loved her. She was known as the "Loudest Fan in the Stands." The Fulton Football team dedicated this season to her, which my family very much appreciates. It made it all that much sweeter that we coulld take it all the way to the top in her memory. It's just how she would have wanted it.

Great tribute to my sister K Walker last night on Live at 5. Thank you to Rogan and Freeney. What you said about my sister was straight from the heart and meant a lot to me and my family. You know both of you as well as the rest of the Falcons meant the world to her. I appreciate you all keeping her memory alive.

DL you have a fine team with a lot of class. Congratulations on a great season! Now to my Falcons, I am proud of each and every one of you. You have proved to everyone that you are true Champions!
