  1. Stewart Co.-Mont. Central game has been rescheduled for Saturday night at 6.
  2. Stewart Co. beats Camden tonight at SC by a score of 55-46 I believe.
  3. Now I am hearing Rozet might be able to make it to graduation tonight. It will be a sad day regardless.
  4. Check the thread about AP. I updated it there.
  5. Adam and his brother Justin were killed in a head on collision yesterday. Justin was driving and there were two other passengers in the vehicle with him. Caleb Rozet, a wide receiver in football #80 and basketball #40 was lifeflighted along with another senior Chris Rippy. The boys were all going to graduate tonight except for Justin, he was 21. I knew Adam really well and was excited because the St. Louis Cardinals had just recently contacted him about pitching. The student body at Stewart County is very upset and many just do not know what to say. All of the seniors are upset tonight instead of being happy and it is going to be a very sad night at SCHS. Adam was expected to be the ace at Columbia St. and get drafted by the Breweres after next year. He had interest from other teams but his grades were not good enough. Adam had just rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in the past couple of weeks. Caleb plans on walking on at APSU to play football. Rozet and Rippy are both doing well and will make it. Caleb and Chris are both very strong christians.
  6. I do not see how you can not have Creekwood being in first after only losing one player. SC will return three players with starting experience. They will have six juniors and six sophomores on their varsity squad.
  7. Stewart County won by 6-7. The game was not as close as the score indicated. SC dominated most parts of the game but then Smart would hit a couple of threes in a row. SC got up by as many as 16. Smart had 24 for Cheatham. Dylan Smith had 19 to lead SC. SC has to travel to Creekwood Tuesday then finishes off the regular season home against Houston Co. on Senior Night this next Friday.

Finally, we have a girls thread. SC looked good Friday night against MC. They dominated most the game and Christy Steele had 28. No one on MC could stop her. Look for SC to pull an upset against CW or Cheatham. You don't want to play them come tourney time.
  9. KSgovols I looked for the girls thread and never found it. SC girls played heck of a game last night. But if we beat Cheatham you can say SC is the 6 seed barring an upset. I loved it two or three years ago when SC had West and Lancaster and even the year before. Every schools had atleast 2-3 people to post on here. Where did everyone go? Does anybody even look at it anymore?
  10. Well there were some pretty big games tonight in the district. Stewart Co. beats MC by 10+ at home. The post play of SC is what killed the Indians tonight by scoring a combined 35 points. SC can get the 6 seed barring any upset by MC as long as they take care of Cheatham Co. Sycamore beat Waverly tonight 56-48. It was tied up going into the 4th. Dempsey had 23 and Staggs had 21 for Sycamore. Leonard led Waverly with 20. The post game seemed to be too much for Waverly tonight. Harpeth dominated Cheatham Co. tonight. Seems like Caruthers didn't have to do much scoring only eight points. Horkins led Harpeth with 16. The Indians took over in the 2nd quarter outscoring Cheatham 21-6. Creekwood beat Fairview 64-37 tonight at CW. The Red Hawks were up 11 going into the 4th and outscored the Yellow Jackets by 16 in the final quarter. Walton led the Red Hawks with 17 points. The district is still a little shaky at this point. 6-8 seems to be more clear and Creekwood is still the front runner for the number one seed. We will learn more after this next week.
  11. Ok guys I have been trying to see how the standings will work out. This is how things are as of now. Correct me if I am wrong. 1. Creekwood 8-1 2. Sycamore 7-2 3. Harpeth 6-3 4. Fairview 6-3 5. Waverly 5-5 6. Mont. Central 4-7 7. Stewart Co. 2-9 8. Cheatham Co. 0-8 Creekwood is looking like they will get the number one seed. I like Harpeth to finish with the number two seed with Sycamore getting the three seed. I see Fairview hosting Waverly in the four vs. five matchup. I see Stewart Co. winning against MC and Cheatham getting them the number six seed based on beating a higher ranked seed in Harpeth. MC will finish as the 7th and Cheatham as the eight seed. My Projections 1. Creekwood 2. Harpeth 3. Sycamore 4. Fairview 5. Waverly' 6. Stewart Co. 7. Mont Centreal 8. Cheatham Co.
  12. Thanks clemlawn. Who does everyone have this week in the district? SC plays at Sycamore Tuesday, home vs Fairview Thursday, at Mont.Central Friday. The standings will be more clear after this upcoming week.
  13. Creekwood wins 59-57 in overtime. They were down 5 going to the fourth. Anyone that was there let us know some details please.
  14. Any updates on the Creekwood-Mont. Central game?
  15. Well you won't hear that from me and this was a big win tonight for SC but its only one. Still a way to go and hopefully SC can get a big streak going here. Good job guys keep it up.
  16. Well bkballer30, SC has had their ups and downs this year but they don't get on here and post anymire because they dont want to start anything and remained focused on the task at hand and not what others think. They came out tonight and took it to Harpeth all night. In the 4th Harpeth cut it too 3 but then a 3 by Matt Earhart put it too 6 and later on a technical after a foul by Horkins it put it to 10. I have to say that Harpeth lost their composure and partly due to the great job we the students did in the stands. Hopefully SC can keep the momentum they have and get another big win Tuesday.
  17. SC lost by 8 to Sycamore. Dylan Smith had 30. They were down 4 with about a minute left and missed a layup that rimmed in and out. The difference in this game was a 10-0 run Sycamore had in the second quarter. SC plays at Fairview Thursday.
  18. Well does anyone have anybody else in the championship besides Harpeth-Sycamore?
  19. The MVP is the Most Valueable Player is not the MVP for a single game. I'm saying that without West SC would win 2 games luckily. Harpeth without Newton would still be 1 or 2. I can see what yall are saying but West has done more for his team this year that Newton. I mean at one point Giltner could have been the MVP. How could you have 2 guys from the same team be MVP. If you have two guys that good like Harpeth then I don't see how you could them the award. Without one of them the other can step it up. Without West playing well SC loses and that is that. I would love to see Lohin be MVP but without Lohin Sycamore still beat Cheatham Co. so therefore he isn't the most valueable.
  20. Yes i see that is one game but if SC didn't have West they would be getting beat by everyone. If Newton was not at Harpeth they would stil have Baker, the Caruthers brothers, and Giltner not including the other guys that come off the bench. But if Newton and West would trade places Newton would be my MVP because he would be more valueable.
  21. Well I don't tell anyone who I am but I know you put it that way.
  22. Well for the MVP race and in my unbiased opinion it should be West but it will probably be Newton. Stewart County has been the doormat of the district before West's junior season. They have won 7 or less district games from 2000-2004-05 season. In West's past two seasons they have won 17. If you take West away from SC they don not win 6 district games as they wouldn't have that go-to-guy. If you take away Newton from Harpeth or Lohin from Sycamore they can still compete against everyone. What if you took West off of SC? How many wins do they get in district maybe 2-3? I would love to see him get it as he is well-deserving and the MVP is stood for Most Valuable Player. MVP does not stand for Most Outstanding Player otherwise Newton would get the award. West has done more for his program than any other guy and has lead them to back-to-back winning seasons a first in a very long time. Oh and by the way this is coming from a guy from Sycamore
  23. What happend to Dunn last night I saw he was only 2-6 from the FT line? Did SC's zone just take him out of the game?
  24. Well team like Harpeth and Sycamore would have to slow the game down and take good shots to have a chance.
  25. I would put Caruthers, Beach, or Lancaster above Primm. Also Murray Harris should be a 3rd teamer over someone.
