  1. The Region 5AA Championship game with MCHS vs. Hickman County will be played tonight at 6:00pm.
  2. The Region 5A Championship game between the Forrest Lady Rockets and MTCS has been re-scheduled for Thursday night at 6:00pm at Hillwood High School
  3. Does anyone have any info from last night's game?
  4. 10AA plays all games on the higher seed's court until the region tournament
  5. I have one too Coach and I want to hear what people have to say before I turn it in. Please keep it positive, these girls have all worked very hard towards their teams goals and deserve respect.

  8. Here is the schedule: Friday January 3rd 3:00pm- Collinwood vs. E.O. Coffman 5:30pm- Cornersville vs. Wayne County Saturday January 5th 3:00pm- Consolation Game 5:30pm- Championship Game
  9. Blaise Spencer, Hunter Osborne, and Ryan Nicholson from the #9 ranked Marshall County High School are the best in the state, hands down!

  11. Wayne County Christmas Tournament starts tonight with Forrest, Collinwood, and Wayne County, and Richland. Should be a dandy. Eagleville will hold their tournament next weekend with Forrest, Cornersville, Eagleville, and Jo Byrns, another good one. Smyrna will also be holding thier Bulldog Classic next weekend with Marshall County, Goodpasture, Smyrna and others. I have not seen a schedule for this one yet.

  14. Forrest 5 Huntland 0 Anna Wiser 4 goals and Taylour Allen 1 goal and two assists. The Forrest game with Page has been rescheduled for Saturday September 29th @ Page.

  16. Does not sit well with me at all. Tori Richardson and Lyssa Wiles should have been 1st Team, hands down. Let the Tennessean know how you feel, I did. Coach Adkins waited 16 years for a championship, nurtured the program from its inception and gets beat out by a second year coach with no state championship, go figure.

    Watch out for the Marshall County Tigerettes, they came on very strong at the tail end of the year, even with a depleted squad.
  18. There is a short synopsis on CoachT's home page about today's historic win. I will have an indepth article in Wednesday's Tribune. All I can say is it was one of the most inspiring performances I have ever witnessed in sports. Both Tori and Alyssa had the true "Eye of Tiger". I will never, ever forget this day. Congratulations to everyone associated with MCHS tennis.
  19. They Did it again!!!! Richardson/Wiles will play for the A/AA State Championship Friday at 9:00 after they easily defeated Koonce/Sopcak from Madison 6-2, 6-3 in the semi-finals.
  20. Tori Richardson and Lyssa Wiles made a gallant comeback, falling down one set at 2-6, then storming back to win the match versus the defending State Champions from USJ, Aya Kato/Kelly Nelson 6-2, 6-3. They play Koonce/Sopcak at 2:00pm today in the semi-finals. Sophomore Jenna Branaman lost in her first State Tournament appearance to defending State champ Brittany McBryar from Chatt. Christian 6-0, 6-2.
  21. The Forrest Lady Rockets defeated Columbia Academy on the road 6-5 to make a return trip to Murfreesboro. Shelby Stinnett pitched a complete game, giving up just 2 earned runs on 5 hits, while striking out 8. Kalah Mathis was 2-4 with 2RBI's, Haley Mathis had the game tying hit and scored the winning run. Gaby Bussell had a huge double in th in the fifth inning that tied the game at 4-4.
  22. Impressive, but don't underestimate the Lady Rockets, they have outscored their opponents, 54-1.
  23. Tori Richardson and Lyssa Wiles advanced to the Spring Fling with duplicate 6-2, 6-1 victories. Richardson also set a school record with her qualification for the state tournament. This will be her fourth consecutive appearance. Jenna Branaman also won her two matches by scores of (7-5, 6-0) and (6-2, 6-1) to qualify for her first state tournament. Vance Wallace lost his match (6-2, 6-3).
