Tennessee High scrimmaged Elizabethton and Morristown West tonight. Did not play well against Betsy and only won by two. Played better against West and lost by two. A very good West team will be solid when everyone is healthy.

Great Post cap, Oh yea #5 made a great catch on the T.D. before the half,and a nice throw from Mason. Mason and Turnbull did a great job faking the reverse also on that play. But back to your comment about the one two punch, The breakout of Shephard will make Baker that much more better. This will give Jeff the opportunity to rest on offense since he is such an important ingredient on our defense. Then his legs will be fresher when he does get to run the ball. Also I hope he has seen how Shephard hits the holes and is able to run through tackles and learns that with his size and strength he should be doing the same thing Instead of dancing through the line. Pendleton also hits it up in the hole pretty good. Vikings keep getting better and lets see what happens.

Coach, You are right. And that has been the story this whole year. Vikings start off early taking the first series 98 yards for the score using about 9:00 minutes of clock and then dont score again until with 00:14 seconds left in the half, then come out and blow the second half open. THS "D" looks tough again, and the offensive line doing a great job moving people. This bunch has improved.

You guys have lost sight that the Vikings were penalized 11 times for 85 yards and the Longhorns 2 for 30 yards. tricitiessports.com has the penalties backwards. The mark on fourth down was questionable but THS fumble on the one was not a fumble either. so we are even there. Roughing the punter is roughing the punter its a rule. Illegal use of the helmet is a rule. You broke both so you were penalized for both. We face masked about 4 times and it was called its a rule. 45 yards on your first score was on penalties we broke the rules and was penalized. I guess Shepherd or Pendleton would not had 300 yards between them if it were not for the refs. You guys had 125 yards total offense to Shepherds 216 so yea you guys dominated. Yea, we will see you on the mountain at the rodeo ring next year. Just like you guys said the last two years. It was the thunderstorm one year and the refs this year maybe we will figure out a way to beat you on the field. Hampton is tough they beat Unicoi in overtime and Central gets there first win in about 8 years against that tough Unicoi team. As far as THS AD (Pendleton) umpiring that is tough I agree, but what about Science Hills 8th grade coach (Lyons) calling big nine basketball games and a Johnson City Principal(Church) calling Science Hill games thats tough too. But I know all three and none of these guys would cheat anyone they are good people doing it for the right reasons. But I do think they are put into tough situations by the assigning officers.

Sophomores Keenan Shepherd over 200 yards rushing. Matt Pendleton over 100 yards rushing. Shepherd 4 TDs. Baker who? Just kidding hope Jeff gets well soon. I think he had 3 carries for about 15 yards before he came out and did not return. The two sophomores ran hard and most of Pendletons came between the tackles. Shepherd can run. Not sure what Stubbs gave them at halftime but hope he saved some. Hard hitting game from both sides. I dont think Johnson County will loose again.

TN. High Wins first round game in tournament and plays Sullivan South Next Saturday at 10:00 am. at Science Hill

TN. High plays three girls down on their JV. All three are sophomores. Their varsity playing time has increased but they still play JV. I do not think it is to get wins but to make sure they get experience playing together for the future. TN. High's JV. is made up of freshman and sophomores only. They do have some juniors who dress on varsity only but do not get significant playing time. In my oppinion if Coach Bright was so concerned with getting wins these juniors who helped the Jv. win the title last year would be playing JV again this year.

Tennessee High Clinches at least a share of the Big 9 JV title with a 70 - 50 win over the Heel Toppers. The Lady Vikings are now 18 and 0.

bucdaddio Speaking of Montgomery She absolutely took the game over last night against Boone and brought the Lady Vikings back from the dead. With I think around 22 or 26 points vs. a gimmick defense to stop her. Boone played great for 2 and a half quarters.

Skunk, are you going to help announce some games this year? I think it is great that you volunteer your time to help out even though your son plays at a different school. Volunteers like you and the many others is what has made this tournament what it is. I hope the people who visit this tournament realize that these people who make this thing happen are volunteers.
