  1. Where you been all year, 'Domer? To answer your question, probably not.
  2. The very late PI call in the end zone was baffling. Might have been a little bump but why the delay in throwing the flag? On the other hand, the out of bounds hit on CHS on the first play of the 3rd quarter was weak. It was in front of the HC bench and no coach or player was screaming late hit when the flag flew. In the 4th quarter, Centennial player had inside position and should have make a pick but instead got a PI call that kept the final HC TD drive alive. Overall, the officiating was spotty at best.
  3. Totally agree. Point is, they throw the ball much better than Centennial and with the trouble HC had stopping the pass last night, Indy might hang 50+ on them. Here's an article and game summary. CHS hurt themselves with penalties and some bad snaps so they better clean that up moving forward. http://www.williamsonherald.com/sports/article_79008a26-7f83-11e5-bc90-6b87aa180a15.html
  4. You don't want to play Indy with the pass defense I saw tonight.
  5. With those two defenses, home field gives Centennial the advantage in a 3-2 win.
  6. Prior to the blocked punt, Centennial fumbled at the BHS 5 yd line so in essence, one turnover offset the other. As for the onside kick, they still had to drive 45-50 yards for the score that put them up 24-3.
  7. Didn't see the game but my guess is it was a combination of CHS being too confident after beating cross town rival 6A Franklin the week before and a very good Indy team jumping on them early and keeping their foot on the gas. I understand some defensive personnel changes were made after that game and while they haven't seen anyone that can throw like Indy, the numbers have been impressive. CHS certainly hadn't peaked in late August and it was obviously a bad match up against the secondary on the field that night so your theory has legs.
  8. Not having seen HC play, how is their passing game? Indy beat Centennial thru the air but they do have a QB (19 TDs vs 2 ints) getting looks from OVC schools and a WR committed to Purdue. I noted CHS is allowing an average of 1.8 yds per carry so HC may have to put it up more than normal.
  9. Dodson is not their lead back and has only 60 carries thru nine games. He may get a few more Friday but it won't slow him down on D. Also found it interesting that he isn't the leading tackler on the team. That honor goes to his LB partner. http://thecougarnation.scorebird.com/2015/10/centennial-stats-through-week-8/
  10. Centennial has been in the playoffs 4 of the past 5 years and made the quarterfinals of 6A last year, losing 17-10 to eventual runner-up Ravenwood. They may not have the track record of HC but they have been in big games in recent years.
  11. They don't kick off too deep and punting is average but the kicker is probably good up to 40 on field goals. The stats listed below are through eight games and don't include Friday's 30+ point win at Rossview. http://thecougarnation.scorebird.com/2015/10/centennial-stats-through-week-8/
  12. Centennial held them to 17 so next Friday may be a 10-7 type game.
  13. Does that mean he didn't have them ready for Indy, Ravenwood, Franklin and Centennial?
  14. Brentwood has only scored 31 or more points once this year and that was against a winless team. They have average around 18 in the other seven games so they will need to step it up or have some turnover help from HC.
  15. Brentwood fans are frontrunners so at 4-4, you likely won't hear much from them. The fact that all four losses were at the hands of their Williamson County brothers (Indy, Ravenwood, Franklin and Centennial) quiets them even more.
  16. Centennial held Bwood to 17 yards rushing and much of the passing yardage came late after the game was decided. HC should win this one by double digits. http://www.williamsonherald.com/sports/article_c512b0ae-6f09-11e5-990a-5b3690a11d6d.html
  17. It tells you that any team that gets beat by Brentwood has more weaknesses than strengths.
  18. And if the OP was about Rossview, the answer would have been "They got beat by Brentwood. Enough said".
  19. They got beat by Brentwood. Enough said.
  20. Game summary. http://www.williamsonherald.com/sports/article_15a9a8f8-5919-11e5-89ae-fb2cb94227ef.html
  21. You got the 17 right, but it was Centennial that won 30-13. Ravenwood QB is a statue and threw five picks on the night. As for the most talented team in the county, my vote goes to Indy.
  22. Under the new format, all 32 6A schools make the playoffs. Centennial has a good D but the FHS offense really struggled. Looked like they were trying to run some Malzahn/Auburn type read options, sometimes with a pitch man, and CHS ate that up. The poor QB got hammered all night on those plays. Your comment about size and speed are spot on. Curious about the zoning argument you mention. For years, FHS was busting at the seams while Centennial enrollment dropped to around 1,300. Has that been reversed? Enrollment dictates classification and FHS is still 6A while CHS is now 5A. Has FHS become in essence Grassland High?
  23. The Centennial D is for real but the offense had some issues against a mediocre Franklin team. Franklin got penetration and put Centennial in 2nd/3rd and long situations all night. CHS special teams didn't look very special, either. If they don't shore up the oline and get better in all aspects of the kicking game, look for Indy to take this one.
  24. Indy and Brentwood or Franklin at Centennial should both be interesting.
  25. According to the Tennessean, RHS gained 294 yards on the ground. Backs up my earlier post that SHS struggles to stop the run.
