I am sure the facitlities are state of the art but is the reason its "without question going up" because it has no other way to go? I am not on the band wagon that Indy is a team that has earned the respect from the rest of the region yet. One win from a winning team (franklin) isn't enough. There is much hard work to complete here before you call yourself a team to be reckoned with. I don't think anyone in the region fears you yet. When that happens you will have arrived. That being said I think it makes perfect since for a quality coach like Rector or Crawford to find it appealing to go to this school. To take a team that hasn't risen up yet to a winning program would be totally their doing. Rector would have the respect of doing it back to back what a feather that would be. Everybody got so excited because of how many games Indy won back to back but they were wins from school with a losing record ( with the exception of Franklin which was impressive I will give them that but remember "any given friday night" anything can happen and did) and their strenght of schedule proves it. I am not down on Indy I am just saying they have a lot of work ahead of them and I doubt they are going to duplicate what Ravenwood did no matter who is coaching them even if its Rector.

I think you raptor fans have been exposed on here for being the smug fans that the whole region has known all year. Do your school and players a favor and try to control your remarks. Its not helping you to get over the momgate story in the paper.

Great idea bwoodmom!! we all should be so lucky to have the best students in the city. Once again Ravenwood is on here making out like their students, parents, teachers, alumni (oops they dont have too many of those yet) are far superior to anyone else's. It sounds like their fans are too busy watching the other sides fans and what their doing to enjoy their game. Hey Raptor stay off our side of the field and mine you own business and WATCH THE GAME!!!!!!!!

Ravenwood should have a lot of pride in the way the coaches and players handled themselves nobody has questioned that. What everyone is trying to say is the student section are the ones that dished it out and it would appear the whole raptor nation paid the price thats the way it goes. I guess maybe they learned a lesson. Are you suggesting nobody to be allowed on the field after the game? Maybe it should be that way I know all the parents and fans are eager to congratulate or console their players that would be a hard rule to accept but maybe it should be one. Lastly, I didn't mean your school is the only one with thugs because lets face ALL the schools have them I am just suggesting its high time the raptor nation realize your school is NO different from any other schools in the state you have your thugs just like the rest of us sorry to be the one to break the news to the raptor nation but its the facts. And by the way you have no idea what goes on on the field in the middle of the game all of our "little angels" become warriors and anything goes and usually does. You would probably be shocked at what comes out of our sons mouths.Your son is probably relunctant to say anything because it sounds like you would pull him off the team. It is pretty clear you never played the game and haven't a clue what goes on during the battle. Oh! but you are the Raptors maybe is different at your school.

I bet she (suzanne baird) cannot beleive they used her name. If I had done something like that my sons would be so mad at me for stirring up a hornets nest like she did. I bet the other parents are not too happy about it either. I get the idea they are just laying low waiting for it to blow over they are not on here much anymore and I cant blame them there is nothing they can say to make it right. Mrs. Baird and other parents were too quick to call out the kids when they should have been calling out their own bunch of little thugs. And just wait until next season its going to get all started again and the Raptors are probably going to get a heavy dose of medicine this will put a huge target on their backs and they better grow some very thick skin between now and August because I am thinking they will need it.

It is VERY plain and simple: Raptor parents have a blind eye when it comes to their student section. If its dished out expect to get it back. PLEASE quit crying about it. It is so far from the worst thing its a joke. When my son was a senior and lost to a Franklin team a few years back there were some of his team mates crying and one particular franklin player told one of our players to quit crying like a baby. I wanted to call the pricipal and report this player but I decided not to as it turned out I am sure he shed a few tears that year himself. Parents need to stay out of it. The bottom line is and I have said it before Ravenwood is shell shocked that they lost and are lashing out at the only complaint they have. I am a Williamson county supporter but was a Smyrna fan on the second because the smug Raptor fans make me sick.

My coworker told me that the Ravenwood students were tailgating at Brentwood and were throwing food on the school roof top. Wonder what the Ravenwood parents would say knowing that their little angels arent perfect and act like thugs at other schools? Oh I forgot they do no wrong. HEY Ravenwood YOU LOST GET OVER IT!!!! Notice how they don't really talk about the game. It was a fluke that Ravenwood went to state they didn't belong there and the lopsided game is proof of it.

Ravenwood fans are still riding on their HIGH from last year and are not accustomed to losing. I heard they preplanned a party after the championship game it was a win or lose party. Now does that sound like something you would do if you had any thought of loosing? They were very confident of their win. Lets not forget this is probably just a handful of parents getting on here shooting off their mouths. Its ashame because its their team that will suffer. From what I can gather the coaches and team have nothing but respect its just the parents and student section that has this all in an uproar. My thought is in the up and coming couple of years this wont even be a blip on the radar because I dont think you will see Ravenwood any where near a playoff round. They had their run and its over for now.

WOW!! All I can say if this post is really from a player which I have no reason to doubt that it is how poised are you?? Too bad the parents getting on here dont have a fraction of your class. Way to go with your attitude and your season. Everything you wrote was dead on. Your parents and coach should be very proud of you. I agree you had a great season and NOBODY gave you a shot but you did get to the dance and you got there the hard way. Great job Raptor!!!!

Hey Mc cowboy didnt you know the raptor students are perfect angels and do no wrong. Why you must be mistaken or hearing things. Or how did one poster put it "they didn't really mean kill him" " its just in the fun of the game" face it Raptors can dish it but they cant take it.

Well its encouraging to know that you admit your comments are unintelligent and might I add make no sense what so ever. And if I might add I thought my comments were most insightful and dead on. And by the way I have been coming on here all season just never had the urge to post until I kept reading over and over and over about how bad the Raptor students were treated. The fact of the matter is I have had the pleasure of being at a game with your little perfect raptor student fans and I can assure you they are no angels and are every bit as bad as Smyrnas. Take your blinders off and please Raptor parents get off your high horse your kids are no better than any other school its just a fact.

Well I did not attend the game but did watch it on TV. I thought I would read these threads and find some intelligent thoughts and break down of the game. But to my surprise all that I can find here is a bunch of belly aching over a hand full of fans and imature players. SO WHAT!! Get over it Raptors. When you can boast about having the perfect fans and players then maybe someone will care until then get over it!! The reality of it is your team lost miserably and from what I saw was very fortunate to have scored the 14 points that you did score you needed a whole lot of help from Smyrna to obtain the shortest of short fields. If Smyrna had of brought their A game it would have been more of a lopsided game than it already was. If you don't believe that go ask Riverdale. Your team was a very hot and cold team all season. Yes they did get hot when it mattered and beat very good teams but lets face it you needed help to even get in the playoffs and in reality was far from the best team in middle team proof is you finished fourth in region. But you did get in and played fantastic. Belief can only take you so far eventually you have to have the talent to carry you and lets face it you didnt have a deep enough roster. There is some REAL talent on your team just not enough of it. I knew from probably around third week of season that Smyrna was the real deal and the true team of destiny. Please quit embarrassing us other region 5 teams and accept your loss with dignitity you got outplayed by a mile and should thank your lucky stars you brought the silver ball home and got to even go to the dance.
