  1. Who are the best players in the district this year? Any Divison 1 players? My Picks 1. Mclemore Franklin 2. Forhetz Ravenwood 3. Cox Brentwood Who are the top Juniors in the district this year? 1. Montague Brentwood D1 ?
  2. I support the big red and have watched district 11 for years I have different observations and I might add much more accurate . Hillsboro - Well coached team... they are disciplined but not that talented other than Mcmillian the premier player in the district no one in district can match up with Mcmillan great leaper very good quickness for his size. Their record is a tribute to good coaching. Franklin - best talent in district well coached. Mclemore is a tuff match up for anyone very quick off dribble can get to basket whenever he want to. Matthews is the second best post player in district, Pace is a very good athlete and solid defender. Indy - well coached they have probably over achieved considering talent level. King is a nice player one of the better shooters in district. Brentwood - Very well coached has a very good player in Tidwell good athlete can get to basket against anyone in district we have always had a tuff time guarding him. James Cox is becoming a good player this is a dangerous team. They do have athletes... Ravenwood - Evan F is probably best shooter in district this team is also well coached and plays very hard when the threes are going they can beat anyone in district. Centennial – This team is probably not as talented as other district teams. Bristol is a nice player with good size and soft touch good athlete who moves and jumps well. Well Coached Team.
  3. Well I said Ravenwood was in living in a dream world and tonight they got a taste of the real world. The Rebels Spanked them hard on their home court. Can we please stop hearing about how good Ravenwood is. 1. Franklin 2. Centennial everybody else we OWN 11aaa.............. 40 in a row............
  4. What about the Nashville teams playing for state Title. Any D1 players at DL, Maplewood or Good Pasture?? What About Franklin HS always a power house any kids from there getting looks by hihg majors?
  5. The Rebels did look great in their last outing. Can't wait for the district play to begin. Looking for another great run by the REBELS.... Rember WE OWN 11aaa
  6. It is time for the district to begin. Here is how it is going to go. FRANKLIN we own 11aaa Cent Drew and Company look decent but not close to the REBS Hillsboro just because 11aaa is weak Indy who else would you pick OVerton better than I thought Brentwood ... Ravenwood in a dream world but will soon be shocked into reality Hillwood
  7. Not to brag but it is really amazing how the Rage continue to compete in every tournament ,when you consider they are all Franklin HS kids. I would hate to be in the district with them next year. Kegarise is having a great summer! This could be one of the best Franklin teams ever!.
  8. Coach Harrick, How bad did we beat the Grizzlies? Heard we got up on them early and kind of coasted.
  9. Not sure why Hatley left he was a good coach. Brentwood has not been much of a competitor for Franklin for the last 5 or 6 years. Don't see that changing anytime soon. They do have some young talent. But Franklin is loaded and should dominate 11aaa for the next 2 years.
  10. Jason Williams Kirk Hinrich Luke Ridnour Steve Blake Matt Harping Just a few who come to mind All starters Guess we must not be counting white euros because there are a lot of them 6'3" and under. The question is why was race even mentioned in this discussion. Don't think the NBA cares much about a players race. Just ability and performance.
  11. The Franklin team had a great weekend. Watcing these kids play just makes me think how good the Rebels can be next year. District 11aaa and Region 6 get ready!!!
  12. Gomab I am glad to see you mention the Franklin kids they are a local team playing together, I did not want to mention them because most of these teams recruit kids from all over. However the Young, Glover, Starnes and Kilgrise will play hard a compete well. The future looks bright for the rebels.
  13. Tennessee Thunder always competes hard not sure about talent
  14. Graham is a great player who had a tremendous year for WC. Maples is a great athlete who competed and did a great job guarding Jamie. Good luck to both in college. Both have a chance to be big time college football players.
  15. Congrats to CHS you guys played a great game. Ty Caldwell and the Merriweither kid really played well. Good luck in the boro. FHS had a great run just needed a little more talent. I heard we might be getting a transfer... I am sure we will be back next year GO REBS!!!!
  16. I could not agree more! Great coaches both teams were well prepared and played hard. The guard play for Franklin was just not strong enough to handle WC. I am still proud of our team Young is going to be special. WC is the class of the region they proved it last night. GOOD LUCK hope to see you in the BORO. GO REBELS
  17. Looking forward to the game tomorrow night. This is how I see it. Jamie Graham will be difficult for any one Franklin player to guard. The box and one approach used by Antioch worked pretty well. Maybe Franklin should try that will some modifications. Maybe even a Triangle and two. If Franklin can slow down Graham then it becomes a matter of handling the WC pressure and getting into our half court motion offense. If we can do that we have a real chance to win this one. It will take our best game of the year to beat WC. Good Luck REBELS! Two great coaches it will be fun to watch the game time adjustments that will be made. Hope its another great game!
  18. Great Game! It was the kind of game you hate to see either team lose. Batt and Young were huge tonight. Mcgavock lead most of the game but Franklin just keep battling back. In the forth Franklin went up 7 and I thougth it was over but Mcgavock fought back. Rebels face a very talnedted WC team tomorrow. We will have a very tuff time with Grahm and Harper. Good Luck REBES. Remeber in district 11aaa REBELS RULE CHS INDY BRENTWOOD enjoy the rest of tournament get those tickets early it will probably sell out. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  19. I have watched Mcgavock play three time this year. This will definitly be a challange for the REBELS. However if we force Woods to put the ball on the floor and do the same with Killcrease we will be ok. Killcrease is very athletic so we will need to make sure we have good help side when defending him. I look for the Rebels to win this one by 10+.
  20. Here is another version of the game Antioch routs Centennial By JEFF LOCKRIDGE Staff Writer FRANKLIN — The depth of District 12-AAA was on display here Saturday night. Antioch got plenty of production from its top three scorers and capitalized on 23 Centennial turnovers for a 65-53 win in a Region 6-AAA boys quarterfinal at Centennial. “I think this is the year our district has a great shot at a state title,” Antioch junior center Mike McAdoo said. “We have a lot of depth.” Guard Kyle Upton poured in 23 points, forward Tahj Wells scored 18 and McAdoo added 17 to pace Antioch (29-7), seeded third out of District 12. Sophomore post Drew Kelly (16 points) was the only player in double figures for the Cougars (23-10), seeded second out of District 11. The Bears advance to face District 12 champion Whites Creek in the semifinals Tuesday at Ravenwood. Antioch dealt Whites Creek one of its three losses this season. “It’s the rubber game,” Antioch Coach B.K. Crowder said. Wells opened the second half with an alley-oop dunk from Upton for a 38-30 lead. The Bears stretched their advantage to 13 later in the third quarter on a 3-pointer from Damon Girty. Centennial got to within 52-46 early in the fourth on LaMont Harris’ (9 points) only basket of the second half, but Antioch inched away thanks to its inside dominance and Centennial mistakes. “Since Christmas we’ve been averaging 20 turnovers a game and still winning games,” Centennial Coach Brian Kelly said. “But we’ve been telling the guys they can’t do that and go where we want to go, which is the region finals. “Our defense has been playing good enough to make up for the turnovers, but against this bunch, you just can’t do that. Antioch is so powerful and explosive offensively.” Antioch shot nearly 70 percent in the second half after shooting 39 percent in the first half. The Bears are now 6-0 against District 11 teams this season, including a win over district champion Franklin. “We struggled a little bit early,” Crowder said. “We made some substitutions and maybe they weren’t the right fit. But we knew we had to put pressure on their guards and stop (Kelly) inside, who’s great and he’s just a sophomore. We stopped their transition game and got our transition game going.” McAdoo scored 10 of Antioch’s first 16 points and the Bears sprinted to a 20-17 lead through one quarter. Kelly got on track with a turnaround jumper and a 3-point play in the opening 1:17 of the second quarter to match Centennial’s largest lead at 24-20. Antioch answered with the next eight points — six in transition after Cougar turnovers. Antioch led 36-30 at the half thanks largely to its offensive rebounding and 15 turnovers by Centennial. Centennial’s 2005 and ‘06 seasons ended in the district tournament, and the Cougars have never advanced beyond the region. Antioch last got beyond the region in 2000 when then-junior Mario Moore led the Bears to the state tournament.
  21. Well looks like all games went as I predicted. Franklin stands alone against all foes. CHS blown out. Brentwood stomped. Overton wiped out. Well the mighty REBELS are the last hope for 11aaa. If we had Siske we would take care of Mcgavock no problems. Without Siske I look for the game to go down to the wire. We need our guards to step up and Handle their pressure I know Batt and Glover will show up just need one more to step up. GO REBELS With Indy and CHS gone the silence is deafening well there is always next year…but wait Indy will be in last place next year and Centennial will be worse than this year. Oh well looks like the REBELS AGAIN.
  22. Franklin should beat Hunters Lane easily. To beat Hunters Land we need to force Josh Henly (their best player) Away from the basket and be sure we block him out on every shot he is a great rebounder. The white guard is a good shooter but not really effective when he has to drive so play him for the shot. I look for us to beat Hunters Lane by 10+ Whites Creek vs Overton WC by 20+ McGavock VS Brentwood Look for McGavock to win by 10+ could get ugly CHS vs Antioch I am sure all the CHS fans are going to chime in on this one. I pick Antioch by 15+ I was correct aoubt the CHS Franklin game. It was never close. CHS is just not a top level team. Like I said before they are tier two. Just a little better than OVerton and Brentwood. Good luck to all region 11aaa teams hope I am wrong!! When we get to round 2 it will be Franklin as always the only team from 11aaa to move on and represent. By the way they are not chaning the district name to Franklin and everyone else like I thought. Instead it is going to be called REBELS RULE.
