  1. who is coach at cookeville? when was the last time smith co was relevant as far as winning or going to the state? has cookeville ever been to state?
  2. women coaches don't threaten me but tbch i think it is some kind of ego thing with the lady. just keeping it real...and she can get away with it at a small remote school like lc. also had i been coaching the vikes i think i could have beaten lc by 20...at least.
  3. i know that area. always a great girls basketball hotbead. so livingston academy is located there? i was impressed with them in the state.
  4. I think a female coach can get away with it on the a level but not in 3a with the big boys. sorry to upset you but it is what it is...and i still think she should try to help the female atletes at lake and make them winners if she truly is a good coach...let her coach both.
  5. agreed...maybe that is why the memphis teams win...and look i never said these 2 coaches aren't great people bc they are...the lady at lake, well her record speaks for itself and she has class...boykins has been at humboldt since shep was a pup and is obviously loved by the community...
  6. they both have some athletic type kids for class a but the coaching and execution is horrible. neither team runs any kind of set and humbolt has spent most of their time driving basket and throwing up wild shots from behing the basket. sloppy and confusing...
  7. don't sell brentwood short...they are starting to look like maryville did a few years ago.
  8. thoughts? seems to be an unselfish, caring person. have not read his little book but have heard it is a must for any hs coach.
  9. maybe she should try her hand with the girls program at lc and see if she can turn that around...
  10. wardawg...not saying she isn't a good coach...her record speaks for itself...just old fashioned i guess...and many times i see this as some sort of "publicity stunt"...i wish her well. look when there was all this talk a few years ago about pat coaching the mens team at ut i thought it the worst thing imaginable...and i think pat summit is the greatest coach ever in the womens game...
  11. watertown has not seen athleticism like lc has. i don't like women coaching boys basketball at all but this is class a so really who cares?
  12. maybe you should have let the guy who coached baseball before your current coach take the basketball program. didnt he leave there and take a team in ms to the state and a fl team after that before retiring? folks in sp say he never wanted to coach bb to begin with. from what i see sp has some talent even though fb is the major sport. most of the talented fb guys play bbk anyways.
  13. now when are you guys gonna make upgrades to those basketball programs? oops wrong board.
  14. from district to sub state bradshaw only played 1 team with a winning record...and that team was 16-13. not saying he isn't a good coach because i believe he is...an obvious good fit for him at watertown.
  15. bradshaw seems to be more of a private school type coach. just wondered if he was being mentioned for some of the open jobs in nashville?
  16. now that he has gone where no coach in their history has gone before the question is does he stay?
  17. there are some states that would bring ethics charges against him...possibly action against his teaching license.
  18. i will give henning the benefit of the doubt...but will his kids, parents and community give it to him. based on that he needs to step down...how can he possiblystay now with this cloud of scandal hanging over his head?
  19. absolute insanity from an absolute insane place...
  20. yeah and when you walk into that gym and it is 300 degrees you will be out of gas before you start. who is the coach at dekalb? i hope he practiced you guys with the heat turned up in the gym...
  21. dekalb beats howard at howard...are you nuts?
  22. that would be nice...it doesn't remind me of anything "tennessean" that i know...throw em out.
