its a nice little town but i think it is a stretch to call it a "great" job. there are no great jobs in hs as long as you deal with parents and 6 classes a day, with this nut job commissioner of education and all this new evaluation stuff. now if they got a retired coach who didn't teach then it might be a great job for that person.
The key for Shelton is does he have his 27 in KY. That is the magic number. If so he draws a check there and a full check here. Brown is a smooth operator and a great administrator. Now he may turn his attention to boys basketball. Could you just imagine former Warren Central and Hall of Fame coach Tim Riley coaching boys basketball at LHS? If Brown can pull it off look for another coaching change.
As usual you local yokals have it all wrong...if I know Darren Brown...and I do...his first call was to Greg Shelton in Russellville,KY. Brown wants KY around him. He proved that with the football hire and boys basketball will be next. You can make book on it.
Those jobs are going to those Teach For America people now. You won't get a call. They are taking over Metro especialy with our State Commish who is a TFA alum and its former legal chief...
maybe this ross man found out what a great basketball power sp really is and just didn't want to compete with it for players...you think i am kidding but i am not...
once again when did i "belittle" the lady or her coaching abilities? me thinks your fur flyeth just a bit much...and i am wondering how thick your skin is? coaching is a tough business...and there will be criticism involved...sister in law not withstanding. if you read my posts i have stated that she is obviously a good coach...as evidenced by her record...and i will stand by my statement as i will stand by my statement concerning the ridgeway coach...any coach good or bad should know everything about their players...and that includes issues of eligibility...now have a good one old noble warrior...
so you silence freedom of speech? tough guy playing tough guy games from behind a computer screen. as i stated a good coach is aware of the eligibilty of his/her athletes...now there you go "dude"...
