Room for 1 more Indy Holiday Tournament(Individual – Boys & Girls): Date: Saturday, December 28th 2013 Times: 7 am weigh ins, 9 am start time Cost: $175 per team; $8 per girl ($200 total for both Duals and Individual) Format: Wrestlers will be in pools of 4, then move into 4 man brackets and get 2 more matches. Place 1st through 16th, everyone gets 5 matches (if brackets are full). Girls will be pooled into groups to maximize number of matches. Yeah lets get that dude fired!!!! Horrible coach... What was he thinking? He is the first person ever to do this! He definitely wasn't thinking about what was best for his team. Wrestling all his JV/freshman in an exhibition match so the fans could still get something out of it was stupid too. Can't believe that guy. What a moron...

We only had 1 wrestler out but it would not have made a difference. We just don't match up the best with Ravenwood and on top of that we didn't have a good night. We have a couple spots in our line up that need more time to develop but there is still time for us to get better. We will get back to work today and keep working on the things that we need to do to get better. Ravenwood has an extremely strong team top to bottom and they wrestled very well last night. Congrats to Coach Peck and his team and as for our team, we will work very hard in the coming days to make sure we are better going forward.

Camp is 2 weeks away and wanted to let people know that you CAN register at the door the day of.

Indy Youth Wrestling Camp June 13-15 Independence High School Who can attend the camp: Any rising 9th grader and below. We have had youth as young as 4 at the camp. NO WRESTLING EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED TO ATTEND THE CAMP!!!! Schedule: Check in each day will be from 7:30-8:30. Camp will run from 8:00 to 4:00 each day or half day from 8:00-11:30. If you need an earlier drop off or later pick up, that can be arranged. Camp Costs: $75(Full Day) or $40(Half Day). The costs amount to only $3.12 per hour!!! Campers will need to bring a lunch each day and will have access to a frig. Region 6 Duals are not set. If Ravenwood and Indy both win tonight,duals at Ravenwood on Friday with them being the 1 and 2 from District 11. They wrestle Brentwood and Centennial this evening. The other district is still up in the air too with Cane Ridge, McGavock, Hunters Lane, Antioch and Overton coming out of District 12. They are trying to sort that out tonight at Antioch I believe. Either way tomorrow night will have the top two from each district wrestling for two spots at the state duals, starting at 5 pm @ Ravenwood, most likely.

Due to the holidays falling on Saturdays this calendar year, the Independence Holiday Tournament will be hosted on Dec 30th this coming season, which is a Thursday. This year we would also like to see if anyone is interested in participating in a 8 team dual tournament the day before on the 29th. So here is the plan for the Independence Tournament this upcoming season. Wednesday Dec 29th: 8 team Dual Tournament, each team will have 3 duals( committed teams: Indy, Cleveland and Ravenwood) Thursday Dec 30th : 16 man Pool Tournament, each wrestler should get 5 matches.(Committed teams: Indy, Cleveland, Dickson Co....) The NFHS will be voting to either leave the weight classes the same or change to one of the three options below. I just wanted to see what the opinions are on the four choices. As far as I know, each state will cast one vote to the NFHS and then they will make their decision on the weight classes for next year.
