  1. Maybe Headlines should read "Indy out coached" ?
  2. IF Indy is willing to use their bench when their starters lag, I would go with Indy. But, I haven't seen that happen so I will take Franklin by 10. If Indy's coach stays with the starters the whole night, when they do not play good (like lately) it may get out of hand quickly.
  3. It happens alot. Players go into a slump and the coach is afraid to rock the boat, or afraid that he will hurt some feeling, etc. I am sure that coaches want to see players come out of the slump by playing them, but most of the time it doesn't happen. And the entire team gets hurt. These players are old enough now that being sat down for a few games til their play gets better is a very good dose of reality. You can't leave talent on the bench and start a lessor player, or better player if they are off. Or just b/c you like someone. Its about business, not friendship, and ultimately its about winning. If I were coach H, I would be looking at who is going to make it the easiest for me to win, and it looks like he hasn't done that.
  4. My, my, my, it seems we see what we want to see. Indy had a good game overall, but could have been much better. Kuchar had 26 points which is a good night out, but how many times did he shoot, and what was his percentage ? I would say he is slumping a little. Farris has been off for a while, since early in the season. He keeps starting and doing nothing. With neither of these guys playing all that well makes one wonder. Maybe coach Henrie should have a curfew for the players? Nick got in foul trouble and that hurt the team, but that is the game, if they are calling small stuff, then you don't do the small stuff, you roll with the game. Welcome to basketball. Where did King come from, I am not sure, but I beleive somebody may have just lost their starting spot. What a weapon that has not been used enough up until now. Great breakout game, expect to see alot more of him the rest of the way. I hate to say it, but if Indy comes in the same way next match up, the result will be the same, a L. Maybe even more lop sided.
  5. Indy started playing alot of their subs and got the score tied, and then put the starters back in and the game stayed tied and back and forth to overtime. If the starters are off, they are off. No one said they played favorites if that was your point of view. ANd yes everyone contributes that wears a jersey. Indy would nto be good if it were not for the kids in practice, that provide scrimmages, and different looks for the starters. Even the water boys and girls contribute. But if the water boy keeps spilling the water everywhere, you put in someone else ? Right?
  6. Was he good in the end ? I suppose, what was he the rest of the game? He just doesnt need to hit them when he needs to, he needs to hit about 50% of them. I am not so sure Farris is intense, or just likes to be seen and heard, slapping the floor, backboard and such. And Ball control, if he cant he needs to learn to pass.
  7. Wasn't Kuchar 0 for 13 before the freethrows? With him, and Farris about a combined 15 turnovers?
  8. Ya, I look for them to make turnovers as well. They had one player to make about ten last night. But, they left him in. Some players just have an off night and need to come out. ALso their guard was about 0 for 13 before the freethrows he made..Indy, could be on its way down. THey have plenty of talent within the players there. They need to be led, and need to learn how to be a TEAM
  9. Indy has begun a downward spiral, that may not be able to be stopped. They better bring their best game, and a better coaching plan.
  10. I think that Science Hill got a good coach, and a great future.
  11. That could be b/c the A.D had to much control over the football activites. This is the problem when the BB coach has control over both sports.
  12. Farris is a good kid from what I hear, but is not a good ball handler. Many times seems to be out of control when he has the ball. The hand clapping, and hitting the floor "stuff" is due to misoppurtunities. I think some of Indy's best defenders come off of the bench. They need to show up in this game for sure. We will see...........
  13. I will have to jump in here and say that Indy has alot of depth on the bench, but you will probably not see it. If Indy looses, I believe it is more coaching than being out played. I think many would be suprised with the depth at Indy. Just my 2cents though.
  14. Obviously it was Smith's decision, when you can't get along with the A.D, what do you expect?
