  1. When Webb played Science Hill this year, instead of playing out the 3rd set they played 3rd set tiebreaks.
  2. McCallie won Team Boys Hutchinson won Team Girls Fickey beat Schlabach 6-1, 7-6 in Boys Singles Finals
  3. Two young, quality players who don't just hit the tar out of the ball but have an all-court game. Fickey won 6-1 in the 3rd set yesterday vs him.
  4. USJ is not a powerhouse by any means. Yes Colton and McGhee? are contenders, but after that their team turns into a sorry excuse for competition. I agree Science Hill is good, but not the best team in the state. MUS, McCallie, MBA, and Webb (given another chance and a full 3rd set rule) would all beat Science Hill. Oh and I know you were talking about it earlier, Reid Walling also starts varsity basketball at Webb.
  5. I've never heard of them having a "rep" for that. Secondly, every team has a parent or parents that care a great deal about their kids playing, and do the utmost they can to try to help their kid win. It's a little outlandish to single out Webb because of an incident that no one seems to even know the facts about (and I dont know anything about it either). I guess we'll see who the real winners are come Wednesday.
  6. True. However every match 1-6 went to 3rd set tiebreak. Things could be different 2nd time around.
  7. never heard of the kid
  8. Oh okay, thanks for telling me Schabach's ACT score. I was really curious about that. Does anyone know the results of the McCallie/MBA match this past Thursday? I heard McCallie won 8-1 and I'm curious what the individual match scores were.
  9. I wouldn't worry. AAA is really weak this year. I think you'll win it.

Not sure how that would work out considering they would stop the match at 4-2 but whatever. I think Webb would fare well against MUS. MUS is good but not unbeatable (McCallie as some would say). Webb has a good shot if not the favorite in about 3 of the singles and still decent chances in the other two. I wouldnt count Webb out just yet, soccerpro.
  12. 11) is Patrick Maloney not Deloney But yea list looks good.
  13. Thank you. Ah guess hvillefootball is the ONLY one who feels i meant backups instead of starters. Trust me, I know that back-ups (meaning positions 6-?€?..yes infinity) are not that important and that the 5th position counts for as much as the 1st postition, so why would I say backups are important? Unlike you my main sport is tennis, for you it is probably football given your name, so stick to the boards where you actually know something.

Webb plays ECS next Wed. in Quarters for State. If anyone knows anything about ECS please post because we have no idea who they are and are curious.
  15. First of all we are not picking on HIM, just his lame jokes. Second, I think we are all clear on the fact that a team needs depth, as in solid players 1-5, so there is no need to argue that matter any more. Thirdly, never use smilies unless you are middle school girl or a grown-up who thinks he is "hip" and inserts them in. I've seen this done many times in some other forums such as soccer and whatnot and it is just plain creepy.
  16. Contrary to hvillefootball's belief and his prevalent use of non-funny jokes and smilies, you start 5 people in region matches and 6 people in regular matches. So if a team only has 2 or 3 good players and another team is deep and has 5 or 6 solid players, the team with more depth will win (Aka TN High, or as I found out SHHS). And if you could post up Hendersonville's roster that would be appreciated because I have it's not as great as you think it is. Nevertheless, Hendersonville doesn't stand a chance againist SHHS or TN High so it is not worth arguing over. Who plays number 1 for Science Hill? We (Webb) were supposed to play them but they cancelled the day of with not much of an excuse. But I heard Chris Smith plays number 2 and was astonished. Is this true?
  17. What's your line-up? Because we've played TN High and they are very deep and talented. So they'd be a tough match to anyone. Webb barely escaped 5-4.

Aside from this ownage of soccerpro..... Webb was demolished by McCallie in tennis 7-0. Not much to say except that McCallie played amazing as always, so congrats to them.
  19. never heard of him...

Well yea thats the thing which I don't particularly like about McCallie is that they take kids from around the south and internatioanlly to make their teams better, while schools like Webb and MBA use the kids they've got locally and make the best of them. On McCallie, you have a kid from Alabama, a kid from Nashville, and a kid from NC and then Tariq from last year wherever he was from. And I'm not saying recruiting is involved because I have never talked to these kids so they might all came there voluntarily, but I am just skeptical of the situation.

I wouldn't say McCallie is as good as those 3, seeing as not one of McCallie's players will ever win an Australian Open let alone go pro, and then go to jail (Tanner for all those who dont know).

Webb beats Baylor 5-2 Brandon Fickey over Orlando big Chris Haydek over Joe Yantis 1 and 1 MacGregor Wallis over George Butler 0 and 1 Harrison Smith over David Patil Brian Carman over someone... Doubles Haydek/Fickey over Patil/Orlando 8-3 Yantis/Wallis over Carter Tisdale/Ryan Markman 8-6 Last year was the first year Webb beat Baylor, and I think the tides have turned in Webb's favor. Baylor didn't seem very talented or deep at all in their lineup. Webb plays McCallie next week sometime. Should be close I would expect.

Wow thats about as impressive as a thing D-II's seen in a long time. Webb plays at home vs Baylor tomorrow. Will update afterwards
  24. So then 1 was Michael Hewgley? Those top 2 are alrite, but the rest probably don't even play tournaments.
