Awesome Game! Way to go Rangers!

I have to say the Unaka Rangers will be there again! They lost several key players, but some experience is still there.

I am tired of people saying that Unaka isn't that good. OK, so there is a chance that we may not repeat as State Champs, but FACE IT, we are 1 of only 8 teams left in the state. That right there says enough. Yeah we are that good. So are the other teams that are there. No one makes it this far if they are just average. There are other good teams that aren't even playing at the 'Boro. After all, only 1 team will be left after the championship. Last year it was us. All the teams that are still playing deserve respect and credit, whether they are liked or not. So, if you think any of the teams aren't good that are there, go watch them play and let the game settle the discussions. Until then though, Unaka is STILL the Defending State Champs.

Temple and Grace will be tough teams. I have to say, though, Unaka will be the team to beat. It doesn't matter who they've lost, they will return a strong, determined team. I remember when everyone said we were finished the year after Dugger graduated. We still made it back to state and brought home the golden ball. GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Best coach in Tennesse is DONALD ENSOR, from Unaka. He even has the TSSAA Coach of the Year Award to prove it. Coach Ensor took a good ball program and made it first class. He makes us all proud to be Rangers! Go Rangers!!!!!!!

Unaka won at McCallie in January. They are definite contenders for the state again this year, as they only lost 3 seniors. Returning are the TSSAA basketball coach of the year Donald Ensor, State MVP Tyler Mcann, point guard Derek Cline, and big post Rusty Holtsclaw, who is at least 1 1/2 inches taller than at the 'Boro. The boys have worked hard. I'm not saying they will definitley repeat as champs, but if hard work and pride play into it, they should not be taken lightly. GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want to say GOOD LUCK UNAKA RANGERS!! Stoney Creek has finally been put on the map after the basketball state championship. Make everyone respect them in baseball too!! Good luck Acie!
