  2. The insanely premature Bray's Rankings are up at tennesseewrestling.com.
  3. We have $1.47. The usual fund-raisers help, but do your best to do them in the off-season. Car washes, golf tournaments, and support boards usually are a norm. I've seen selling candy, selling wreaths, boston butts, fried turkeys, magazines, and the ever popular candles. Having a company sponsor T-Shirts, etc are a good way to keep money in your budget/program. Varsity Gold and other companies have coupon cards to sell.

  11. The down low is that Mark Reeves wanted to see the tournament ran one time in the Ag Center before they give the okay for double elimination. If everything runs right this year, we can probably expect to see double elimination the next year, 2010-2011. There may be a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel......
  12. Spots are still available for the T-Town Rumble on November 14, 2009 and the Garner Dyer Duals on December 12, 2009. Email me at ronniebray@hotmail.com if you are interested in attending. 13. He may be asking for Hamm. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  14. Haha!!!! Good one!!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. William Simpson (Army, MBA) received an at-large bid and has qualified for the NCAA Tournament! Congratulations and good luck next week in St. Louis!
  16. I weighed 180 to 185 during football. I cut to 160 and 152 for a few matches and I like to think that I'm fairly young, so it wasn't too far back in the day for people to cut. Trevor Schmit (Tullahoma) weighed 184 at one point during the football season and wrestled 145 this year. He actually certified to go 140. Casey Brewster cut a few pounds during his Overton days.
  17. Tennessee guys are punching their tickets to the NCAA's! Conference Champions!!!!!!!!!! Nick Marable (Missouri, CBHS) won the Big 12 Jordan Leen (Cornell, Baylor) won the EIWA Demetrius Johnson (UTC, Brighton) won Southern Conference Cody Cleveland (UTC, McCallie, Tullahoma) won the Southern Conference Daniel Waddell (UTC, Baylor) won the Southern Conference Jason McCroskey (UTC, Soddy Daisy) won the Southern Conference
  18. But I would also like to know the meaning and reason of Jonathan Taylor's dance at the end of the 140 finals. People booed him, but personally, I thought it was funny. The kid just won a state tournament! The heavyweight backflip and the Gravedigger didn't get booed as much as this!
  19. The crossing of the arms from both wrestlers is to make an X, as in Region 10. Representing the region! The peace-like sign from the Cordova wrestler is actually more of a "hook 'em horns" sign that represents his team, Cordova Wolves. The hand sign was used by the Wolfpack in WCW wrestling days.
